How to burn down your office
The latest (06-06-2014) update, allows you to smuggle your plasma welder into your post-game office (permanently), and naturally turn it into a burning inferno.

Play the sewer level.
You'll notice that it has a trunk.
Before you clock out, put the plasma welder in there.
When you clock out, you'll end up at the office, which in this update will have a trunk as well.
...but while you can use the trunk to smuggle items such as lanterns (and really anything you want, as dirty objects doesn't register while in the trunk anymore),
the welder seems to be missing.
Where could it be?
Go to the back room.
There are now two lockers here that wasn't there before.
Remove them. (They tend to get stuck to the ceiling, so it will take some effort.)
Tada! A secret storage room!
This is where special loot ends up.
Now grab the welder and torch away.
Too bad there's only one bucket in your office.

I didn't find a secret storage room, it was just in my normal trunk.

It's also useful for gathering collectibles easily.

Its a lot easier now that the save files are available. You can just do a level once, put a welder in the trunk, and save before clocking out. After that you can just reload the save and get another welder for no work.

yes. there is. the best way is to unlock the doors (there's a guide on the workshop.) and theres a bucket room! also an extra storage room and an incinerator althgough the gun will get most stuff burnt.

Sprained: I have no idea. I basically stopped playing VCD once I wrote this tutorial, and that was before they made offices permanent, so I have no idea how it works now. ...but I guess that if you burn down your office now, you're kinda stuck with it. I didn't intend this to be a troll tutorial, but I guess you should have known what would happen if you burned down an office that saves its state.

Ok, so let's say that you destroy your office. Is there perhaps a way to fix it from utter destruction?

@Andreasen It still works, even after the current update.

As this latest update is making the Offices persistent, I think my guide is very out-of-date, so I will remove it shortly.

I did this, and it was like I was in 9/11, and almost got fired.

I can attest to the warning. After smuggling in the welder, I got fed up with the massive corpses in Cryostasis and clocked out early. Management was not happy, and I found myself unemployed for about a week. (It helps that I have about eighteen different IDs, so reapplying for the same job was a breeze.)

When I came back, someone had found my secret stash and removed everything. Everything. Oddly, they didn't seal up the room, so I can start collecting again. Guess they didn't expect the same guy to wind up with the same office again, huh?
