Enabling the Steam Overlay
  • In Mod Organizer 2, press the gears icon in the top bar. This will open up the Modify Executables window.

  • Select the Morrowind entry from the Executables menu on the left, then check the box next to Force load libraries (*). Now press the Configure Libraries button. This will open up the Forced Load Settings window.

  • Press the Add Row button to create a new entry on the list.
  • Check the box to the left side of the Process name box, then click on the ... button to the right of it. This will open up an explorer window, where you should navigate to your Morrowind install folder and select Morrowind.exe.
  • After that, press the ... button on the right side of the Library to load box. Now navigate to your Steam install folder and select GameOverlayRenderer.dll.

You can now launch Morrowind through Mod Organizer 2 to check if the Steam overlay is functional.

This guide was originally made for Oblivion by TheSkidd. I got their permission to post this guide for Morrowind. I did this to make it easier for other people to find this guide when they search for Morrowind, because I had trouble getting any reliable search results for this issue.

If this guide helps you, please give a thumbs up to the original guide as well.
