I secured enough alliances to feel confident, built up my navy so that it could win a brief control over the sea of Marmara, spiced up the army with mercenaries and in the end, waited for the Ottomans to mothball their forts in Salonik and Kocaeli. When they did, I waited for the first day of a new month and then declared the offensive war on them (time which it takes for a nation to stop having its forts be mothballed after clicking that button is one tick, which always happens at the beginning of the new month)
