So spinos are really intimidating at first because they catch up to you fast and kill you faster but if you know what you are doing they are really easy to tame. its also really worth it since they are better than rexes nothing will ever make me think otherwise. i once tamed a level 85 spino it was 127 after being tamed and it had 7k health. dont expect that to always happen but just know spinos dont need high health to destroy enemies because theyre just great end of story.

anyways to do this thing you need an argy with at least decent weight capacity preferrably over 3k weight but at minimum 1k. The argy also needs good health if you tamed a 150 wild then youll have no problem with this but you should have at least 4k health on it. you should also have a metal axe with a hgiher quality if you want to do this with any semblance of speed and a doed if you want to do it really fast... idk i usually dont use a doed because im kinda lazy. bring a metal pickaxe too or a tame that gathers thatch something to knock the spino out and tranqs. Bring a sword too.

also bring a cryopod if you intend to reuse the taming pen you will make.

basically get on your argy and if your bringing a doed either cryopod it or carry it with the argy. When you get there and you see the spino you want to tame find a location far enough from the spino that it wont aggro on you but the spino could walk to this location. so dont build it on a cliff above the spino. Then you need to use the doed or axe to gather stone and wood and your pickaxe to gather thatch. In total you will need to craft 12 stone foundation 21 stone doorframe and 6 stone ramp. place ten stone foundation in a 3x4 square without the two foundations in the middle. make sure the side you want the spino to come in from is one of the three foundation long sides and face it towards the direction you will lure it in from. on this side since there is three foundations length you need to stack doorframes on the two foundations at the sides. on both the left and right foundations make a three foundation tall tower, it should have two three block tall towers with a three block tall gap in between, and a foundation in the gap. then go around the side and repeat this pattern with every other block on the perimeter having a three doorframe tall tower and the other ones having nothing. then on the side you want him to come from on the two doorframe towers place two ramps pointing downwards from the cage. then use the last two foundations and just place them a little bit off from the end of the ramp and put the last two ramps on top of those foundations, its okay if it doesnt align with the other ramp because spinos are big and can go over the small gaps. then put the doed somewhere safe and attack the spino with the argy a few times dont kill it though. once it has your attention just slowly fly to the cage and fly over the ramp, if you dont sprint fly then it will go the exact path you go. after you get it to follow you in the cage fly out and it will be stuck. land nearby and shoot it through the doorframes with tranqs until its KOed. Then use your sword to kill sabertooth salmon in the river and use a sickle to harvest their prime meat or if there isnt a river which would be weird since spinos spawn at rivers then in that case get the prime fish meat before KOing the spino but after making the cage, and put it in a preserving bin with sparkpowder nearby. once its unconscious shove prime fish meat up its ass and then once its tamed cryopod it and bring it home unless youre fine with breaking the cage.
