Passenger train, cargo train, stations for both and storybook tracks.

Passenger rail stations do not allow track-switching so cannot be "end of line". Make a loop of rail after an "end" station or make a loop of your entire track system. Make sure ground is mostly level or the station will not look right.

You can select "Storybook Passenger Train" for any train transit lines you create (set color of line to white or else the models will be saturated orange), but if you want to control intercity trains and cargo trains you will need to use Advanced Vehicle Options mod to disallow spawning of the modern train models.
