Der "Heuriger" oder auch Buschenschank ist ein Betrieb, an dem ein Landwirt seine Erzeugnisse (Getränke und kalte Speisen) ausschenken und servieren darf.
In dem Buschenschank dürfen ausschließlich kalte Speisen und hausgemachte Mehlspeisen serviert werden.
Das typische Buschenschank-Gericht ist die „Brettljause“.

-- Is that a special thing in Austria? Farmers have to have special permission to serve their own products? It would be odd to learn about given cultural differences in various countries.
