The origin seems to be that the first "Darius" was first unveiled at the amusement show held on October 7, 1986.

ゲーム内で他のゲームの紹介をするという不思議なイベントなのですが表現が面白くて思わず動画保存しちゃいました。紹介している青っぽい女の子の方がむっちゃんでゲーム内ストーリーで父親が行方不明。プロゲーマーの彼を捜し出す為にゲーム大会に参加したりします。父親仕込みの古き良き時代のゲームの話題が出てきたりして面白いです。
