Within Battlefield 3, there are 34 Steam achievements that players can obtain by completing specific tasks and each achievement has an individual title and a description about how it is to be completed.

However, from the list of available achievements that players can attempt, the 34th on the list does not have a title or description and simply contains the following information.

Details for each achievement will be received one unlocked.






This guide will assist those who want to know the name of the achievement, its description, and how to complete it.

The title for the hidden achievement is Grinding the Crack and requires players to jump off or fall over the edge of the Ziba Tower map.


Ziba Tower is part of the Close Quarters expansion pack and players who want to complete Grinding the Crack are required to own this DLC to access the map. Fortunately, Battlefield 3 purchased through Steam comes with all 5 expansion packs so you will have access to the map.

The game modes that are played on Ziba Tower are:

• Conquest Domination

• Gun Master

• Team Death Match

• Squad Deathmatch

To search for servers that are playing Ziba Tower, use the Multiplayer search function as follows.


Join an available server and once the round begins, run to the nearest edge of the building and then jump over to your death.


While in game, the completion of the achievement may not be recognized by Steam and awarded immediately this process may take a few minutes to happen. If you can't wait then by exiting the game, a notification that the achievement has been completed will pop up.


Grinding the Crack is now complete.
