Thank you ^w^ And ofc they are, there still has to be some space there, but usually they dont mind being close to each other. I usually use width of the little bee box (ofrlje), but maybe u can go width of it plus half or lil more if you're having problems with them. But so far I honestly had no issues with that sort of arrangement. :3 I usually like to put them on the boards surrounding the oak, makes for much easier handling.
