however, when you start walking the path, it's sort of a probationary period and it's more of a test of your resolve. will you enforce the laws of the mortal realm? not because those laws matter, but rather the act of just being "lawful" is what matters
The law is the law is the law.
THE LAW?
THE LAAAWWWW!
when you are in the demon realms, you are expected to enforce their laws. . which the demons are chaotic chaos, so you end up in situations where you're supposed to enforce their chaotic rules, which are antithetical to the lawful laws of the mortal realm.
the test of being an aeon is to test will you obey the rules to the letter and follow them and enforce them, whatever they might be.
Lawful Neutrals use the law to pursue their own personal goals or they just enforce the laws that are on the books.
Lawful goods create laws that. . hopefully are just and rightous, they aim to stop the spread of evil, stop crimme, stop bad people but then are also often authoritarian as well when they try to force a moral cod. lawful goods laws can have harsh punishments for evildoers and can seem just as tyrannical as lawful evil laws.
Then, once they've forgotten everything about their former lives, including their identities, they are remade into low ranking devils.
Hell Knights admire this system of government and seek to emulate it on the mortal plane. With Regill even commenting on how they approve of slavery as an acceptable work force.
and whenever it says that, it usually adds a new "perk" to your list of abilities, but this one added nothing and all google searches turn up with zero info, except one brought me here
Think: Prelate Hurlon to have an idea as to what you will be doing, except for the part where he never investigates before he sentences.
If people do not like such a play-style, I have heard that you can use your powers to help people, it will just get you considered a "Renegade Aeon" rather than a "True Aeon" and will affect the ending.
so what you're saying is that, essentially, you can't follow the Aeon path unless you strictly abide by the laws the mortals wrote up? if so, that's pretty dumb seems how some laws aren't exactly balanced. i would think a cosmic embodiment of balance and law would understand that mortals aren't omniscient and their laws might need some amending here and there lol
For example, you can use your Aeon powers to travel back in time, reverse Xanthir's transformation into a swarm, and convince him to stop working on his research into Nahyndrian crystals for Areelu. It doesn't completely stop the creation of Mythic demons, but it does make the process significantly harder for the invaders to replicate.
