A Clown is a Jester like role. They cannot deal damage. They can die during a round without consequence, however they appear as a normal Jester to traitors. Their goal is to survive until the end of the round when a team would've normally won, however if they survive they will transform into a killer clown and come to kill all the remaining survivors!



Convars are variables that are introduced to allow server owners to customize the gameplay without changing the code. There are always a handful of convars automatically created by TTT2, that define the spawn parameters of this role and are found in ULX. Additionally there might be some role specific convars, which have to be set in the server config file.

Normal Role Convars (also found in ULX):
# enable or disable this role ttt_clown_enabled [0/1] (default: 1) # the percentage of players that are spawned as this role ttt_clown_pct [0.0..1.0] (default: 0.15) # the limit of players that spawn as this role each round, this overwrites the percentage ttt_clown_max [0..n] (default: 1) # the probability each round of this role being spawned at all ttt_clown_random [0..100] (default: 30) # the amount of players needed for this role to spawn ttt_clown_min_players: [0..n] (default: 5)

I like this role, but could you make it so that at the beginning of the round, in the upper right corner it says that there is a Jester in this round. Otherwise, evil roles would know the difference, if it's a real Jester or a Clown.

Is it possible that the clown will be announced as a Jester at the beginning of the round? Because the traitors can kill the clown instantly if they know that there's no jester in this round.

Is there a way in TTT2 to make it so this role takes the same spawn slot as the Jester? I'm getting rounds with both clown and swapper/jester when I'd prefer to just have one sort of role like that at a time.

It shouldn't be preventing anything from starting, can you send the console error here or on Github please? You might've grabbed a version that was up for 1min earlier that's not ready for release until the Jester role is updated.

This role is bugged and prevents the round prep to start, had to remove it. Love the idea tho
