This skin was made for the "nightmare" part.
Everyone remembers the movie "Alien the 8th Passenger", and we all had nightmares thinking about the Xenomorph. In pop culture, the xenomorph is truly unmistakable and has marked us all.
I then wanted to transcribe this "unhealthy" and "murky" side.

For that I had to respect the request first. The mil-spec. The weapon must be dark in the game. The xenomorph does its role very well thanks to its color. -The xenomorph was only the primary idea.)



So I vectorized the whole by making a "spine" and starting from the "column" to extend towards "weird" things.
From there I let my imagination run wild to stay on the "nightmarish" side without it representing the xenomorph. The normal map accentuates the shapes. I was influenced by the designer: HR Giger as well as other references that you can find on my "moodboard".

In Gruyères, Switzerland, do not miss HR Giger Museum Bar, a unique achitectural installation by Swiss surrealist HR Giger, known for his Oscar-winning designs for Ridley Scott’s classic "Alien" film.
There is a bluish tint on the weapon to also accentuate the cold side.
