Introduction
I'll keep this brief since the guide is also really easy to follow. This will contain spoilers, but you knew that already when you clicked on this guide.

By now, you've probably played through Gorn's levels and found most of it quite easy; anyone who can flail their limbs about can beat the majority of bosses. Maybe some bosses have been a little harder or maybe some forced weapon choices gave you problems, but overall you've reached the end and you've played through Alimta a few hundred times, rage quitting in-between play sessions without understanding why the enemies seem endless. I'm here to show you how to beat this level pretty easily.

This guide will give a brief run down of each wave, the weapons available, and my recommendation on how to beat it normally. The last section will explain the cheese, making all sections redundant, so skip to the last one for the TLDR.
Wave 1 - Hello Old Friends
The Setup
The first wave presents you with a number of weapons:
  • 1H Mace
  • 2H Hammer
  • 2H Broadsword
  • 1H Short sword
  • 2H Bow
  • 1H Hammer
  • 1H Axe
  • 1H Large shield
You'll notice that the arena is the same layout as the others on the 3rd floor, spike pits drawbridges leading to doors at 12, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 o'clock.

The Enemies
All the past 12 bosses will come out in groups of 3 to attack you. You know their patterns, and you know their weaknesses. This shouldn't be too difficult. Watch out for the archers and badgers.

Weapon Choice
The shield and axe combo gives good utility, as you can slice an unarmoured enemy in half whilst blocking any arrows with your shield. The mace and shield can be quite good as well as it removes helmets and also has a chance to squishing heads, but I've personally found the axe easier to one shot enemies with the added bonus of severing limbs if you miss the head.

Strategy
The mini-cheese you might have worked out is that you can just sweep most enemies into the pits. So the obvious choice with this tactic are the two handed weapons. They have additional weight and strength at knocking enemies about. Stand on your bridge and sweep them left and right. In the end, none of the above matters with the ultimate cheese.
Wave 2 - Doing My Head In
The Setup
Weapons you're holding disappear, and a new crate drops down with the following weapon choices:
  • 1H Mace
  • 1H Short Sword
  • 2H Hammer
  • 1H Hammer

The Enemies
The creepy disembodied heads that were the spectators start flying around. They burn up, and screech as they flying at you; their dead bugged out eyes and gaping jaws are nightmare fuel. Luckily they die from one hit, and the head goes flying away before exploding on impact with the floor or the wall.

Weapon Choice
Really, none of the weapon choices here make a difference. As I mentioned, the floating heads die from one hit. More importantly, try to pick a weapon that will make it easy to swat the heads in a specific direction. The explosion radius is fairly small, though you can be hit by it and die. So try not tap the heads or aim them at your feet. If you get hit by a head, you will start closing your eyes and pass out - you can easily recover by hitting one of the heads and getting a kill.

Strategy
Ummm.. close your eyes and flail your arms? The cheese does not help you in this wave. You really can't mess this section up.
Wave 3 - Endless Wave.. or is it?
The Setup
After you defeat the heads, the giant skull mountain crumbles a bit. Two holes appear and more spectators start streaming through. There is no new weapon crate.

The Enemies
A random mix of non-boss enemies will start streaming out of the gates 4 at a time. They enter from gates at 8, 10, 12 and 2 (no enemies come out of gate 4 to your right for some reason). In the beginning the screaming heads will start screaming once all 4 enemies are out, and arrive just as the enemies reach you.

Weapon Choice
You have no choice really, what you were holding from Wave 2 will be what you enter Wave 3 with. Because the enemies are a random mix, you'll have your pick of new weapons if you need to find your favourite, though the speciality of the previous levels don't spawn (so no grappling hook, crab claw or hand cannon).

Strategy
The screaming heads damage the giant skull throne (it's not really that obvious), but effectively you have to hit the heads back whilst fighting off the 4 enemies at once. When you're falling unconscious, kill an enemy to regain your health. Keep at it, be the perfect gladiator. Weave in and out, crush skulls with one shot, decapitate with one swing, remove hearts with one stab, bat the head to the skull throne (blood for the blood gods, skulls for the skull throne). Or just do the cheese strategy.
Say CHEEEEEESE
Welcome
So I won't drag this out any longer. If you've played through these levels, you might have noticed that you can't actually fall into the pits no matter how hard you try to walk on them. There is an invisible platform between the gates at 2 and 4 o'clock where you can stand. Walk from the bridge of the gate to your right (4 o'clock and just walk onto the pit). Standing here, all walking enemies will fall into the pit - armoured, unarmoured, giants, bosses, they all die in the same pathetic way. That's really it.. once you reach this spot in Wave 3, backhand the heads towards the emperor and the game will be over pretty quickly.

In picture form.
Stand here:

No enemies come from this bridge on the left:

They fall into the pit at your feet:

Additional Tips
  • You can still die from archers, so it's advised you keep a shield to block arrows (or use your weapon to block it)
  • You can keep your shield (and any weapon) between Wave 1 and 2 by dropping them before the crate drops. The game only despawns weapons in your hand. You'll have time to pick them back up again after the crate opens.
  • I recommend the axe and shield to quickly kill the archers in Wave 3
  • Remember there is a toggle button, so you don't have to keep the trigger held down to hold the shield or any weapon for that matter
Epilogue
That's it - there's nothing more to the guide. Let me know if this helped.

You can also just pick up two one-handed weapon and stay below the Emperor, flail your weapons around, and just kinda "uppercut" the heads so they go above you and behind you, and they'll all hit the Emperor. No enemies will flank you from the door below the throne, so you can just kinda camp it while throwing everyone else into the pits. That's another good cheese and it doesn't require doing something considered "out of bounds"

In wave two i reccomend going at the gate where you can exit since you can just flail your arms and win

I got the 2 handed hammer and kinda just went off, and it worked wonderfully.
