TPS-9A Long Range Surveillance Radar

Set-Up Instructions: 1) Park vehicle 2) Deploy legs (this will automatically start throttling the engine to act as a generator). 3) Level system (as needed) using leveling gauges. 4) Enter shelter and power on main circuit breaker. 5) Switch RAISE ANTENNA Into the UP position. 6) Once antenna is full raised, turn on ANTENNA DRIVE MOTOR button. 7) Switch on consoles with individual power switches. Clicking on a target on the display will hook the target and give information in the upper display. Holding both touch buttons (left and right click) on a target will hook that target as the base target, allowing you to find range and azimuth data between two targets to facilitate interceptions. To re-stow the antenna, switch off the ANTENNA DRIVE MOTOR button and press and hold the STOW ANTENNA button until the ANTENNA POSITION dial shows a value less than 0.001. Then switch the RAISE ANTENNA switch to the DOWN position.
