"Last week when I did that sketch of Steve Vai I realized that I have a tremendously difficult time drawing guitars. Despite how often I look at them or interact with them - somehow transcribing the figure to paper was very challenging to me. So my goal was to do a study this week of Steve's most prolific guitar : Evo. Luckily there is no shortage of pictures of it to reference. This goal was so tiring to me by today- but seeing it actually complete and competently done is so satisfying to me. I'm very proud ofbwhat I've done here and I think it displays the style I've developed for myself."
