The Guide
I said I was going to do it, so I did it. This mod replaces the Xinput right-side (ABXY) glyphs with their corresponding DualShock 4 counterparts. No more "which one is A again?" moments.

Installation
  1. Navigate to <installdir>\windata\system\
  2. Back up the "fonts" folder.
  3. Download the mod:

  4. Extract the mod to <installdir>\windata\system\fonts\ and overwrite existing files.

Uninstallation
  • Verify game integrity to return all altered files to their original states.

Special Thanks

03/29/24 Update Note
Download link prefaced with disclaimer per new Steam regulations.

12/10/21 Update Note
Mod is still functional. Update removed Denuvo and fixed some assets, but did not touch the files edited by this mod.

Is there a way to do it on our own? And if so, how easy is it to do so? PM me if you don't feel like discussing publicly.

No, I've decided to leave them as is. LT/LB<>L1/L2 is close enough to be understood, and after some troll got this guide banned multiple times I'm hesitant to make any further improvements.

Is there an update on the shoulder buttons being added to the mod? L1/2 / R1/2?

I haven't touched those glyphs (yet). The initial version of the mod is proof of execution as much as it is functional, and the untouched glyphs are recognizable as they stand. However, I am considering going through and replacing the remaining glyphs if I can come up with an acceptable delineation for the Share and Option button glyphs.

Oh, just a question: The LB/LT/RB/RT did not change to R1,L1,R2,L2. Is that normal, or I'm missing some files? =D

Thank god! It still baffles me why they don't include both options.

Thank you so much, this should be an option for any freaking game, not only indie games!
