Episode 1-1
at the very beginning Caleb says his most well-known phrase "I live... again!", which is exact same phrase said by Deadite Ash in "Army of Darkness" as he rises from the grave
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=82E7vhtLxNs

in one secret Caleb discovers an empty grave with a tombstone labeled "Draven". it is a reference to "Eric Draven" - a main character from "The Crow" (portrayed by Brandon Lee)

after "using" above-mentioned tombstone a few times Caleb will say "Nevermore", referring Edgar Allan Poe's poem "The Raven" (a raven is kinda a crow, right?)
And the Raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting
On the pallid bust of Pallas just above my chamber door;
And his eyes have all the seeming of a demon’s that is dreaming,
And the lamp-light o’er him streaming throws his shadow on the floor;
And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor
Shall be lifted - nevermore!

Cabel visits "Morningside Funeral Home", which is named after the funeral parlor featured in "Phantasm" movie. the main villain's name is "Jebediah Morningside"

[there are four plaques on the wall in the front hallway of funeral parlor - three of them say "in loving memory", while the last one says "I dismembered mamma". also the wreath in the home's atrium says "rest in pieces"

there is a bloody sink in the morgue and Caleb says after using it - "Out, out, damned spot!". it is a quote from William Shakespeare's "Macbeth". it is said by mad sleepwalking Lady Macbeth who killed King Duncan and now tries to wash away imaginary bloodstains from her hands
Doctor : What is it she does now? Look, how she rubs her hands
Gentlewoman : It is an accustomed action with her, to seem thus washing her hands: I have known her continue in this a quarter of an hour
[...]
Lady Macbeth : Out, damned spot! out, I say! One: two: why, then, 'tis time to do't. Hell is murky! Fie, my lord, fie! a soldier, and afeard? What need we fear who knows it, when none can call our power to account? Yet who would have thought the old man to have had so much blood in him.

when drinking from an IV filled with blood, Caleb says "this is better than Kool-Aid". Kool-Aid (Kool-Ade) is a popular american mix-drink, invented in 1927

для русско-говорящих кто жил в 90е - короче это типа "Юппи" или "Зуко"

"Miskatonic Station" is a reference to H.P. Lovecraft's "Miskatonic University[en.wikipedia.org]" from his various works. that University appeared in "Re-Animator" movie, which loosely based on H.P. Lovecraft's "Herbert West - Reanimator"

"Pickman's Model" is another H.P. Lovecraft reference, namely his titular 1927 short story

"The Cask of Amontillado" refers Edgar Allan Poe's story "The Cask of Amontillado"

on the central platform Caleb can take a phone and some person will ask, "may I speak to Mr. Jass, first name Hugh"" (Huge Ass, get it?). it is reference to "The Simpsons", where Bart was pulling the same phone prank on Moe
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y3kVTUHRbWM

there are numerous calendars with a girl having the same pose as Elvira on the same calendar series from 1990

"using" some billeting board will make Caleb say, "hmm, single white female" - this is a reference to eponymous slasher-movie "Single White Female", where a protagonist put an ad in a newspaper "West-Side single white female seeks female to share apartment" - and guess what happened next? (*cough* slasher-movie *cough*)

if you travel in that tunnel (on opposite from exit) for about one minute, then Caleb will be killed by a ghost train. that is some SCP stuff and scared me off

on the train, on entering the passenger car, Caleb says "get off my train!". this is a reference to "Ghost" movie. funny, but about a year after BLOOD was released - "Air Force One" starring Harrison Ford appeared in theaters where the latter said his iconic line, "get off my plane!"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9t-So1QZOtE
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jw3PJftd-_E
Episode 1-2
at the beginning Caleb finds an orange jumpsuit labeled "Kimble". it is ф reference to the movie "The Fugitive"

inside the freak show building, the phrase "one of us!" is chanted continuously. this is a reference to a vintage horror "Freaks" (horrifying movie because of how true it is, I doubt anything like this could be filmed nowadays)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x1q2F_18cjg

signs throughout the park advertise the "goony" Sloth. it is a reference to the character from "The Goonies"

Caleb says "Mmm, rat-burgers" when looking at rats cooking on a grill. in is a reference to "Demolition Man"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wdld7SqnIxE

in one secret Caleb finds Duke Nukem dismembered body. Caleb says "I don't have time to play with you", mimicking Duke Nukem's sarcastic remark "I don't have time to play with myself" when player funds original arcade machine

also, if Caleb "uses" Duke Nukem's course then it will shake a little, prompting Caleb to say "shake it, baby", echoing the same phrase Duke said to strippers

the merry-go-round is named "Happy-go-pukey" after the same ride from "Tiny Toon Adventures"

the three doors, between which Caleb should choice with a "wow, wrong door" is a reference to three Necronomicons from "Army of Darkness"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u3RS6gi0PQo

near the end of second-to-last level Caleb will reach the top of temple. here he can fall down (need cheating to survive) and find a note on the wall saying "whoa, this is like, a really deep hole". it is a reference to "Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey", where Bill Preston (played by Alex Winter) says the same phrase
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLt5ei598CY

the final cinematic uses the same shot as in "Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn" (but it might be just a coincidence, since that kind of shots is used since the spaghetti-westerns)
Episode 2 & 3

at the beginning Caleb sails to the arctic north, which resembles what Frankenstein's monster did in the book "Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus" by Mary Shelley

also the vessel is named "HMS Victor", after the book's titular protagonist - Victor Frankenstein
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QuoKNZjr8_U
speaking of which, why do many people call monster himself Frankenstein? Frankenstein is the name of scientist, not of his monster. oh, well, nevermind

also, at the very beginning Caleb says "you are going to need a bigger boat", which is a reference to infamous line from Jaws (to bad Caleb doesn't say "smile, you s0n of a b1tch"):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QT9BeGNnCqw

in one room Caleb finds a dog's corpse nailed to the wall with a harpoon. it is a reference to "Dead Calm" movie where Rae (played by Nicole Kidman) accidentally kills her dog in the same way

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2dnQwWbR9jk

near the end of level a silhouette can be spotter in the window of a house. it is a reference to Norma Bates from "Psycho", who is only seen as a silhouette

the fourth's level name - "The Overlooked Hotel" comes from eponymous hotel from Stephen King's "The Shining" novel, as well as from movie of the same name

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fLEdpDpoTTA

in the hotel Caleb finds a painting that depicts Paul Cezanne's "Still Life with a Curtain"

the fifth's level name - "The Haunting" refers eponymous movie based on a haunted mansion. I mean, original 1963 movie, not a terrible 1999 remake which came two years after BLOOD has been released (but at least remake featured Catherine Zeta-Jones starring as a sexy lesbian, so I am not fully despise it...)

during Episode 3 Caleb finds the Eleusa-painting[en.wikipedia.org] with virgin Mary keep changing from a normal one to an undead and back

Caleb finds the carving of three female bodies, which is apart of Raphael's "Three Graces" painting

an entourage of first level is heavily inspired by dr. Frankenstein laboratory, including a hole in ceiling for the electrical strike

there is a sign above one door that reads: "brain storage. no zombies allowed"

in boiler room Caleb hears "one-two - Freddy is coming for you". it is a reference to Freddy Krueger from "a Nightmare on Elm street". in the same boiler room Caleb finds his hat and striped sweater (get it, a boiler room? because Freddy has a tough relationships with the boiler rooms and fire in whole)

the level "Crystal Lake" is named after eponymous summer camp from "Friday the 13th". you can also hear Jason's "chi-chi-chi cha-cha-cha" chanting
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfNH3E2u2I0

in one barn Caleb finds a hockey mask and a machete - Jason's infamous attributes. using them will trigger "kill-kill-kill" chanting

a decapitated head nearby is a reference to Jason's mom (Pamela Voorhees)

also, Caleb finds a raft floating in the middle of a lake, which might be a tribute to the final scene of "Friday the 13th"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NqEx-oDjbvU

in one secret are Caleb finds "the Flukeman was here" written on the wall. it is a reference to X-Files's "Host" episode and its villain - the Flukeman

entire "Mall of the Dead" level is a homage to on Romero's "Dawn of the Dead" movie. both take place in a mall full of zombies and both end on the roof

mall is named "Cuesta Verde Mall". it is a name of city where "Poltergeist" takes place

one of the shops is called is called "Igor's lab supply outlet". Igor (or Fritz) is a stock-character that is most commonly associated with Dr. Frankenstein and other "mad scientists" and usually portrayed as a hunchback

another shop is called "Ichabod's halloween store". Ichabod Crane is the main character in "Sleepy Hollow", both novel, movie and TV series. in the movie he was portrayed by Johnny Depp

there are little "toys" in the window of some store. Caleb may shoot them and they will squirt blood and have high-pitched death screams

during one level a chanting "anal nasrrach, urbaz besaz, to jier ciempie" can be heard - it is a "charm of making" from 1981 movie "Excalibur"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVi4-0JGDKQ

"Excalibur" is refereed one more time when Tchernobog says to Caleb, "come to me, my son. let us embrace at last" - is a edited line from the movie
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6vRxzfR945M

Caleb comes across a sign reading "Innsmouth Corporate Plaza". Innsmouth is a fictional that appears in various H.P. Lovecraft's works

on two occasions Caleb can noclip (get out of bounds) and read two secret messages left by developers: "you are not supposed to be here - Mike Beaulieu, level designer", which is a homage to Richard 'Levelord' Gray's same quote from Duke Nukem 3D:

...and another one says "if you can read this you are cheating"

the opera house marquee reads "coming soon: Phantasm of the Opera" (combination of "Phantom of the Opera" musical and "Phantasm" movie), starring "Hugh Jass as Faust" (huge ass, get it?)

the cafe offers "worm ridden filth" for 6.66$. this is a reference to Han Solo's line from "Return of the Jedi"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2coQp_6TCTI

the opera house twice refers "Casablanca". first when Caleb plays the piano and then he uses the mirror. in first case he utters, "don't play it again, Sam" and in second case he says "here's not looking at you, kid".

I think the secret that has the voodoo in a room with a faint music in Farewall from Arms is actually part of a track made by Brian Eno.

There's another The Simpsons reference, right in the beginning of Episode 1, Level 2: you blow up a stucked train, you enter it, which is full of TNT barrels and corpse barrels. The quote is almost the same what Mr. Burns says in S05EP05, Treehouse of Horror - minus the word "my".
"Mmm...fresh victims for the even growing army of the undead"
Bez 1 Feb, 2023 @ 7:54am
I believe the barrels with windows with a corpse inside are a reference to Tarman from Return of the Living Dead.
Faber 31 Jan, 2023 @ 10:06pm
We can consider the monster as a Victor's son so it would have the same last name.

Do you reckon the code is 'fork broussard' because Monolith could already detect that Broussard is a gigantic fucking asshole? All the way back in the early 90's?

BUY ME TOYS is also an offhand reference to the eponymous store of the same name featured in MALLRATS
