Jovian Advanced Submersible

Manufactured on Europa and designed for deep water exploration, the JAS is a cost effective and universally applicable vessel designed to compete in the commercial market. The JAS boasts a heavy compliment of automated and manual design features while maintaining balanced gameplay for experienced mariners.

Features

Colorblind / Low-light Lighting Switch
A button located on the command console will switch the lights to a bright soft green that cancels out the red to produce a brighter but soft light grey lighting for colorblind users or generally brighter lighting for light impaired users.

Battery Primary Power – Auto-Dock-Recharge
A large battery supply powers the JAS for most missions with the intention of recharging at stations. A Nuclear reactor with two fuel rods are provided for recharging batteries in emergency scenarios. Primary battery will set recharge rate to 10k automatically when vessel is docked to a station.

Reactor Off Start
The reactor begins the game set to disabled and will prevent AI from automatically turning it on. A player must enable the reactor using the switch in the reactor/engine room then wait a few seconds for the AI or player to turn on the reactor.

Emergency Reserve Life Support – EMR
A dedicated 10k battery supply is available for emergency life support activated from the command console. The emergency life support will bypass the electrical grid and power ONLY the Oxygen supply and bilge pumps to allow the crew to effect repairs.

Automated or Manual Drain Ducts
Switch drain ducts between forced closed or automatic water detection from the command room. This allows the captain to decide when to drain rooms to lower decks or allow small rooms to flood and maintain maneuverability.

O2 Automatic Energy Saver
When O2 levels drop below 78% in any non-flooded room the O2 generator will turn on and fill oxygen to 100%. With the battery supplying primary power, overall energy savings are huge and allow your vessel to stay deployed longer and with less wasted O2! Why 78% instead of the more common 75% threshold? Because IMC values its customers 3% more than our competitors! (NOTICE: Customers may notice stored oxygen tanks take longer to refill.)
An automatic override switch can be found on the O2 generator to bypass the automatic system and engage full O2. Orange light for auto (default) and green light for manual full power.

Self-Powered Crafting
Crafting Room is powered by dedicated battery. While this reduces overall manufacturing capacity it allows the manufacture of goods, tools and weapons even when the main power grid is down. The power to crafting area is switchable in case of flooding or forced recharge.

Ballast Flora Drainage
Ballasts can be drained to easily remove ballast flora. Two switches are available, located in the forward and rear ballasts for speed and convenience.

Secured Containers
Security, Doctors and The Captain have access to secured containers restricted to their profession.

Prefixed Terminal Messaging
All terminals including the shuttle will prefix their location to any typed messages that displayed on receiving terminals. Ex. = Command: Launch Shuttle

IMC Lighted Threat Detection
Motion detectors form a perimeter that detects living threats while informing the crew via a heavy increase in red lighting.

External Command Visibility
Three extended view cameras (click to toggle) surround the exterior of the vessel while a spot light can be controlled to view the upper airlock gangway.

IMC JAS Shuttle
The IMC JAS Shuttle is a full service salvage shuttle designed specifically to compliment the JAS vessel. Equipped with full service salvage shuttle features and a dedicated coil gun. Blow out front window grants nice field of view while providing alternate repair entrance. Use caution when entering and exiting the lower rapid transfer salvage access. Due to the shuttle's small size it is necessary to enter and exit as quickly as possible to avoid flooding causing depth change.

Customers are advised to practice using the shuttle salvage access before actual deployment.

Mantha: This sub is updated and works properly with no other mods.

The reactor will fully power the sub and charge the battery. Turn the reactor switch on then turn the battery switch off. This will put you on full reactor power and charge batteries.

I have added a large storage cabinet to the upper airlock.

Mantha: My subs have not been updated in awhile. There were quite a few updates and keeping them all updated became difficult. I imagine power settings were changed or reset to default values in some update. This is likely causing the problem. Just to make sure I will include this info:

This sub is battery powered. The included reactor only charges the battery. Which means the total power draw has to be less than the reactor send to batteries. Sitting stationary should allow the battery to charge but you can try setting the sub down on rocks, shutting down power and see if reactor is able to charge the battery. If it is not then the circuit is broken from an update.

I am sure the extra turret and more storage would improve the sub. However almost all my subs are designed to be "imperfect" to encourage users to upgrade to more expensive subs or edit my subs in the editor to customize them for themselves.

Also some feedback- there desperately needs to be another large steel cabinet or something. The sub badly needs more storage.
And the sub would greatly benefit from an upper-left weapon mount. Doesn't have to have a weapon on it by default, but just the option for a weapon on the upper-left hull would be so much better.

I'm in the middle of a mission. I am stationary above a wreck, and the power just...fails. The reactor cannot maintain high enough temp, even if I switch to manual.
I read the comments on this page and tried every combination of flipping the battery/reactor switches. The power will not come back to full.

And just asking , do you plan to do a attack/transport vessel specially designed to capture ennemy/prisonner and transport them safely ( or execute them if a player feel like a little sadistic/they start to try to break free )

You have make all sort of vessel but actually no prison-vessel like , i think that would be great if you can manage to make one !

Oh and i wanna say most of your submarine are top tier quality , keep up the good work captain !

And sorry for my english , i'm still not used to that language
