UNLOVED is annoyingly grindy and I, for sure, don't want to waste my time replaying the same things over and over again until I get a right trinket

with savescumming you may save before opening Demon Chest or Abyss Chest and re-roll them in case of bad loot. in that guide you will leatn the most effective and fast way of savescumming

you do not need to restart the game, at all

Demon Chest may have lv1 - lv7 loot
Abyss Chest drops only lv1 loot

(1) first, open the folder with savefiles (copy-paste in Explorer)

%LOCALAPPDATA%\Unloved\Saved\SaveGames\

(2) game stores five different profiles, in five different savefiles:


(3) find the profile you currently play as (see above). that profile should have either Demon Chest or Abyss Chest. I assume that will be "ProfileA.sav"

(4) delete all other savefiles:

(5) copy-paste the only savefile left (your profile) four times:

(6) and now rename the duplicates to "ProfileB.sav", "ProfileC.sav", "ProfileD.sav" & "ProfileE.sav". this way you will create five similar profiles

(7) create somewhere a backup folder and place "ProfileA.sav", "ProfileB.sav", "ProfileC.sav", "ProfileD.sav" & "ProfileE.sav" there

(8) load profile #1 and open Demon Chest or Abyss Chest

(9) if you didn't like the drop, then load the next profile

(10) you will see that your locked chest is back again and ready for a new roll

(11) continue switching to next profile until you run out of options

(12) if you want five more tries, then copy "ProfileA.sav", "ProfileB.sav", "ProfileC.sav", "ProfileD.sav" & "ProfileE.sav" from backup folder into the

%LOCALAPPDATA%\Unloved\Saved\SaveGames\

overwrite everything

(13) return back to the game and ~voila~ you can try your chance five more times
