Intro

Skin Tone
* These methods can be used in various image editing softwares.

Using the quick selection works as well, but you are more likely to accidentally select the whites of the eyes as well.

Hair and eyes

You're free to use the lasso or magic wand tool to just select and fill the eyes, just remember that it colors over the white shine too.

Awesome guide! Can this be used to recolor clothing as well?

@WitchOfDoom This method is for changing the colors after the comic is made as an image. Aside from creating your own character models there's no way to really change the 3D models in comipo.

once you have made the changes in photoshop, how do these changes go back into comi po, also if the image is converted into PNG how does the color go all the way around the character once it's made back into a 3D image

@dahewlett: You need to export the image as a PNG or JPG before you open it in Photoshop. This method is used after you've finished all your pages and panels in Comi Po! and all is needed is the color changes.

I tried to open the comic in Photoshop and it says it's the wrong kind of document. How do you get around that?
Minena  [author] 30 Nov, 2014 @ 5:35pm
@NaweG: As of right now, yes you have to do this with every page, unless you've found someone who has created different skin tone models and has been willing to share. Or a way to re-texture the current models.

So can you save this to your character data somehow, or do you have to do this every time you do another panel of your comic?
