Homemade Saw (Build 41.78.16)

Beskrivning
Create your own homemade replacement for saw or garden saw, if you cant find them anywhere.
(This mod should work without problems on existing saves, but in case - remember to make a backup of your save first)

On the PZ workshop you can find few other mods with similar function, but most of them are unfortunately made for the older builds of the game, or are now abandoned. If you were not very lucky in finding any kind of Saw in your gameplay (like me), or maybe you would want to live in the woods, but dont want to spend lot of time looking for this important tool - then this mod should be helpful for you.

With this mod, you can create Homemade Saw with 3 Tree Branches, 2 Ripped Sheets, 2 Chipped Stones and 1 Stone - or Homemade Garden Saw with 2 Tree Branches, 2 Ripped Sheets, 1 Chipped Stone, 1 Stone and some kind of Knife (but not Butter Knife).
Its also possible to place Homemade Saw and Homemade Garden Saw in the world as 3D models.

Condition of your crafted Saw or Garden Saw will be determined by your Carpentry level, and randomized between the specific range, as below:
Level 0 = condition from 0.1 to 0.2
Level 1 = from 0.2 to 0.3
Level 2 to Level 4 = 0.4 to 0.5
Level 5 to Level 7 = 0.6 to 0.7
Level 8 to Level 9 = 0.8 to 0.9
Level 10 = 0.9 to 1.0 (1.0 is max condition)

Saw and Garden Saw can also be fixed/reinforced with 1 unit of Wood Glue or 2 units of Glue, for each repair. But to unlock the ability to reinforce these tools, you will need to have at least Level 1 of Carpentry Skill.
Reinforcing/repairing these tools is also related to your Level of Carpentry Skill, and works very similar as above.

Important note:
Theres also included additional extension for the mod - Homemade Saw with Vanilla Recipes - which can be enabled or disabled by your choice in mod list.
Some recipes are by default bound to the original Saw/Garden Saw items, instead of all "Saw types" items, and this mod make it possible to craft them, using also your Homemade Saws.
Heres list of added recipes:
Make Mortar and Pestle, Saw Logs (Saw), Saw Logs2 (Garden Saw), Make Sturdy Stick, Make Wooden Cage Trap, Make Snare Trap, Make Trap Box and Make Pipe bomb.

Important note 2:
With current system, both Homemade Saw and Homemade Garden Saw can lose their conditions, due to every recipe that is done while using them (and eventually they will break and disappear, if not repaired/reinforced). But disassembling with them different types of furnitures still works the same as in original game - and the condition of tools isnt lost through it.
It seems like, the possible way to make decrease of these Homemade saws conditions, would be by rewriting or copying the original disassembling timed actions code (and adding lines of codes, which would check if the item is Homemade Saw - and then decreasing it condition accordingly).
But i thought it would be too diametrical change of the part of game mechanics, and simply too much for the simple Homemade Saw mod.

It'd b cool to have both mods on one install tho, like how other mods add more than one thing to activate on the mod menu

Hey hey. There shouldnt be any problem with this mod - cant think of anything that could cause this. Can you provide more info about the issue?
Also, you are using this mod with build 41, right?

any way i can edit how much condition the saw starts at? i want it 100% condition when i craft it no matter skill level but im not sure how to do this. is there a way?

The mod was hidden for a while by steam automated content check, after my yesterday update - sorry for the inconvenience, all should work now.
