this model is hideous, horrible, and does not have any of the original's charm, and that is why I love it.

Although this model of a gnome from DBD looks, I agree, more realistic and detailed, than compared to the native one from L4D2 and H-L: Ep2, but the appearance from DBD is so unpleasant and looks fake, and the native Chompsky is so happy, lamplike and just a living gnome in the spirit of "Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs". And so a gnome from DBD is not bad.
