The Social Experiment is more of a point to be proven to people that have an interest in creating modern Sea of Thieves content, rather than a “montage” to show that I’m skilled. You can clearly see this montage has backtracks, one taps, simple 2 taps, simple skeets, and other non-impressive clips. In other words, Nothing special… I want to use my good friend who is an amazing Sea of Thieves player, HashtaqVEVO. We have similar points on this topic, I use terms like “Golden Age” players meaning OG players of the competitive community. To sum it up, golden age montages were so much more accepted than modern day montages not because clips have gotten worse, infact modern day montages have more evolved clips than ever before. Older montages have backtracks, one taps, simple 2 taps, simple skeets, and other IMPRESSIVE clips. Simply because older montages are way more accepted do these clips become impressive even though they are technically “less accepted” by today's standard in modern montages. If you have backtracks in your montage today… you will be flamed and made fun of, but backtracks back then were impressive. This is where I use HashtaqVEVO as an example, his montages are some of the most loved montages in the community even though he has golden age clips (backtracks, one taps, simple 2 taps, etc…) He combined amazing editing with golden age clips and made something lethal, so… that’s what I tried to convey. I raised my sense, put on the dirty gloves, and started clipping similar clips that Hashtaq had in his montages and combined it with good editing, only to see how people would react in other words “The Social Experiment.”
