Practicing the basic game mechanics
Basic game mechanics like aiming, spray pattern control and movements have to be practiced daily or you will lose your skills.

Not sponsored in any way but I use Leetify to help me practice on what I need most, Leetify will track all your games played on Faceit and/or Matchmaking and help you understand what you need to work on. Leetify[beta.leetify.com]

LEVEL 1: Knowing all the smokes & flashes and pre-fire
  • Open a pre-fire map or any map training, master all the basic skills
  • Look up some youtube videos for tutorials
  • Practice on empty servers
2. AGAINST BOTS
  • Open a local map with bots
  • Using Aim Botz and training accordingly as you wish
For myself, I do 50 kills for each weapon (M4, AK and AWP) and do standstill one-taps, strafes and sprays, all combined.
LEVEL 3: DEATHMATCH SERVER
  • Queue up for a Deathmatch game and get some frags.
  • Practice the majority if not all the weapons you mainly use in CS:GO Matchmaking, FaceIT, ESEA so be it.
  • Don't worry too much about getting killed your focus should always be on your aim, movement and general game sense
  • Try to play Deathmatch for 25 - 30 minutes as well as training against bots before playing Matchmaking, It has helped me go from a Gold Nova 2 player to peak LE in just 6 months. I currently sit at MGE as of 4/16/2021
Practicing Gamesense
Gamesense is the skill of prediction and deductive reasoning abilities.

My way of practicing/keeping up with my game sense
  • Playing Competitive with a squad and asking them where you went wrong.
  • Watching high-level CS:GO and examining players pre-aim spots, team executions and map awareness.
  • Playing with people a rank or two higher than you. This ensures that you'll learn since you are playing with and against players of a high skill bracket.
Practicing Team Play
Team play is one of the most sought-after skill, No one cares if you can drop 4k after 4k if you can't play with and or around your team.

Playing as a team can be hard sometimes near-impossible solo queuing so go make some friends if you haven't already or look for groups to play with.

The simplest way to practice teamwork is playing retakes, Nothing is more bonding than retaking a site from the T's and getting that sweet defuse or that sigh of relief when you guys defended the bomb site from 4 CT's

This is by far the best way to learn how to play with your team.
Mental State
This should apply to anything in the world but keeping a good mental state will help you perform twice as times better than the bottom fragger getting tilted at their team for mistakes they made.

Eating well and keep hydrated (WATER) are the first things to maintain a good mental state.
    Reduce your toxicness.
  • Spamming chat binds and calling everyone that one taps you a cheater will only make you play worse causing you to get even more toxic therefore your focus isn't on the game anymore.
    Taking breaks.
  • If you feel like you're going to lose it and start raging finish your match and close the game nothing is wrong with taking a break to clear your mind, get some food and drink, take a walk etc. I see too many times even myself playing match after match well after I raged and the outcome was me just losing more.
    Sleep.
  • I can't stress this enough, SLEEP IS YOUR BEST FRIEND. there is no need to go on 13-hour play sessions, get off, not sleep then play again you're going to feel groggy and off-put. Having not enough sleep leads to toxicity as you'll get tilted way more easily than if you slept. Why do you think Pro players get tilted after lose a match they practice more than they sleep for months on end which isn't good for your health.
(Optional) PC Specs.
  • CSGO is a game that mainly utilize CPU more than GPU, so if you are considering upgrading your PC and primarily for CSGO, CPU should have a priority over GPU (assuming you already have a GPU).

  • A stable gameplay means having no lag (low ping) and high fps. To achieve that simply lower your settings until you can reach a stable 100+ fps in game (on match). Also using launch options can help temendasly, You can find mutiple videos explaining launch options for CSGO on Youtube and how to set it, here's mine

    -novid -no-browser -nojoy -freq 240 +snd_use_hrtf 0 +exec autoexec.cfg

In those youtube videos they should also explain "autoexec.cfg" so I'll leave that for you to do.
