Kiryu "Dies"
Kazama Kiryu, the Dragon of Dojima and protagonist of the game Yakuza 6: The Song of Life is seemingly "dead" by the end of the game. It is however later revealed Kiryu is alive and forced into seclusion by the government.

Though Hirose was only trying to protect a secret, he killed many people protecting it and even fights against Kiryu and the others after they try and reveal it. He might wear adult diapers.

Literally when they first said there was a "Secret of Onomichi" I immediately recalled that scene with Matsunaga and figured they were hiding another battleship.

TL;DR Kiryu spoiler:

Japanese Politician: "Shaddup an' take my money." (literally)

Kiryu: "Shaddup and fake my death."

Japanese Politician: "But why?"

Kiryu: "Because Sega has to make people think the story arc is fulfilled so that if the game has good sales they can randomly make another Kiryu Yakuza game when fans either want it or aren't expecting it."

Japanese Politician: "You must really be good at MesuKing."

Kiryu: "I AM THE MESUKING!"

Ichiban Kasuga: "Who dafuq are you?"

Kiryu: "Nonya"

Ichi: :"Nonya ? Okay, last name?"

Kiryu: "Bidness"

Ichi: "Nonya bidness?"

Kiryu: "Exactly. Now shaddup or I'll punch you in the face."

Ichi: "Why the hell would you punch me in the face?"

Kiry: *Punches Ichi in the face* Reasons.

Ichi: "I see dragons!"

don't know if this is right, but as far as i know the government didn't need kiryu to fake his death. he only faked his death so that haruka and everyone else at morning glory can live in peace, sort of like a makoto-majima moment
