Chapter 2 Walkthrough

Simple walkthrough to the 2nd chapter of Crown of Leaves.

Overview
It's a simple walkthrough covering the bare minimum you need to pass the chapter, i advice to look around by yourself to discover more about the game and to use my guide only if you're stuck.

If you can't find something in the game, look at the screenshots in "Points of interest (Screenshots)" sections.

I don't plan to post screenshots of all possible scenes as they often aren't hard to navigate but if you think an additional screenshot would be useful feel free to ask in the comments.
Act 1
Depending on your choice in the first chapter, one item will be either a photo or scissors but it does not seem to make any other difference in that part.

Walkthrough:
  • Take the necklace from the telescope.
  • Look at the board.
  • Use the necklace on the stars.
  • Go outside.
  • Go top-right.
  • Use the necklace on the stars.
  • Go left and enter the hut.
  • Use the necklace on the stars.
  • Look at the instructions.
  • Take the knife from the vending machine.
  • Look at the projector, take the frame from the slide tray.
  • Go back to the party area.
  • Look at the table on the left and use the knife to take the coin.
  • Go back to the room you started.
  • Look at the tv and use the knife on top regulator.
  • Use coins on the vending machine on the right.
  • Take the film.
  • Go back to the party area and look at the piano.
  • Open the film slot and put the film in there.
  • Use the necklace on the round slot.
  • Use the lever.
  • Go back to the projector hut.
  • Use the knife on the film and then put the slide in the frame.
  • Look at the projector, put the frame in, start the projector.
  • Open the box.
  • Use the rook token on the vending machine on the left.
  • Take half of a photo/scissors and coins.
  • Use the coins on far right machine.
  • Take the film and repeat the development and start the projector.
  • Go back to the party area.
  • Go right.
  • Make Roui use the shovel/axe to open the door by clicking on the lock.
  • Go inside
  • Look at the desk on the right and at the painting there.
  • Look at the bed on the left.
  • Use the knife on the flowers.
  • The lamp in the middle of the room will flicker, click on it.
  • Use the necklace on the stars.
  • Go downstairs.
  • Take the Whirligig from the box.
  • Take the key from the table.
  • Go upstairs.
  • Look at the desk and use the key to open the secret compartment.
  • Take the other half of photo/scissors.
  • Connect the photo/scissors halves.
  • Put the Flower, Whirligig and the photo/scissors on the desk.
  • Take the Mereoak card.
  • Go downstairs.
  • Talk with the creature about the card.
  • Go upstairs and use the bracelet on the dead body lying in bed.
  • Go back to the party area and then top right.
  • Ask Mereoak about fire.
  • Use the necklace on the stars (optional).
  • Use the necklace on the stars (optional).
  • Go further.
Act 2
  • Go home.
  • Go to the cemetery.
  • Talk with Serban.
  • Take a pendant from the grave.
  • Go left.

Depending on your previous choices you will meet a different person here.
Go to the part of this guide with the person's name to see how to resolve that part of the act.


After that is done:

  • Go far right on the cemetery to the wagon.
  • Knock.
  • Go back to Junyver.
  • Go to the top-right of the cemetery.
Act 2 - Kudret
Prerequisites:
  • Cut Down route.

Walkthrough:
  • Take the drawing that lies on the rock on the cemetery.
  • Take the drawing from the greenhouse door.
  • Take the drawing from the table at the Goblin Cafe
    (there was also one more optional drawing not used by this quest).
  • Show the pictures to Kudret.
  • Talk with Serban (he's sitting on Rasko's wagon).
Act 2 - Anoosh
Prerequisites:
  • Dig out route.
  • Grullo's quest done with "His help".

Walkthrough:
  • Click on the top right person (Roban).
  • Talk with Roban (person with a backpack in the middle of the cemetery).
  • Go talk with Candy (throw the keychain to the water).
  • Talk with Roban.
  • Take the plaid from the girl sitting on the wagon next to yours.
  • Put the plaid on the grave (right from the one you took the pendant from).
  • Talk with Roban.
  • Go to the road that brings you to the cemetery.
  • Talk to the dirty person.
  • Fill cup with the mud.
  • Put the cup next to the grave.
  • Talk with Roban.
  • Sing to the grave.
  • Talk with Roban.
  • Talk with Anoosh.
  • Go to the beach.
  • Talk with Roban.
  • Talk with Anoosh.
Act 2 - Fel
Prerequisites:
  • Dig out route.
  • Grullo's quest not done or done with "To ask the hillcampers for help".

Walkthrough:
  • Go to Goblin Cafe.
  • Talk with Bartender.
  • Talk with Vander about the veve.
  • Go to the area with Grullo's well.
  • Use the book on the veve on the pole far right.
  • Go to the unlocked area.
  • Take the papers.
  • Read them (optional).
  • Go back to Fel.
  • Talk about the pages.
Act 2 - Raakel
Prerequisites:
  • Dig out route.
  • Grullo's quest done with "To write a letter to singlit".

Walkthrough:
  • Go to Alek.
  • Talk with Alek about the Fish.
  • Go inside.
  • Use the Shovel three times on the fish.
  • Pick up a ship model named "Tuna".
  • Go back to Raakel and give her the ship.



Act 3
  • go to your room in the wagon,
  • talk with Rasko
  • First possible route
    • go to Femi
    • talk with Femi
    • go to the wagon
    • go to the kitchen(on the left)
    • go outside
    • look at the jars
    • go back to the kitchen
    • talk to Femi and Drobeski
    • lie down in the bed
    • go to the kitchen
    Second possible route:
    • use the boat
    • (optional) open the box
    • wrap yourself in the blanket
    • click on the paddle
  • go to abandoned house
  • go to Junyver
  • try going to Marestail's wagon
  • go back to the crossroad, talk with Alain
  • go back to the scene
  • try to charge the SAC
    Depending on what you got from Vander previously, you will need different samples.
    • (syrup route) If you need the air one, go to the crossroad
    • (amulet route) If you need to get water one, go to the lake , talk with lazy - there is a cursor that changes itself to point at things, leaves on the cursor turn to you the closer you are.
    • (syrup route, amulet route) If you need the earth one, go to the camp, talk with lazy - there is a cursor that changes itself to point at things, leaves on the cursor turn to you the closer you are.
  • go back to Alain
  • give both items to Alain
  • solve the puzzle
  • talk with Lazy
  • go to Marestail's wagon
  • You may either make him give you the fang, or bring him to Junyver

    Example to make him give the fang by himself:
    • What deception?
    • He won't, if i don't want him to

    Example to bring him to Junyver to take the fang forcefully:
    • You have no idea what i'm capable of.
    • I don't think you deserve to meet the Rook.

    If you got the fang peacefully:
    • go back to the abandoned house
    • give the fang to Junyver

    If you wanted Junyver to take the fang forcefully:
    • go back to the abandoned house with Marestail

  • Scene happening now will depend on your relations with Kariom - you will either argue and leave, or you will be waiting together for Junyver to return.

  • go to Marestail wagon
  • go to Rasko's wagon
    Depending on some choices you will have different company here but it doesn't change what you need to do.
  • read the letters
  • If you didn't get the fang by force you get a choice
    If you picked to go with Marestail
    • talk with Kariom
    • go to Merestail in his wagon
    • go to your wagon, go to your room
    • talk with Emeral
    • click on the cabinet
    • take the bag
    • go back to the wagon
    • talk to Marestail
    If didn't get a choice or picked not to go with Marestail
    • go to your wagon, go to your room
    • talk with Emeral
    • click on the cabinet
    • take the bag
    • go back to the Junyver wagon (where Marestail's wagon was)
    • talk to Junyver
Act 1, 2, 3 - New optional content
Prerequisites for the acts 2 and 3 content:
  • Dig out route.
  • Grullo's quest not done, or done with "To ask the hillcampers for help".

Act 1
Goblin side quest

After using finger token on the vending machine second from right you get a letter, read it.

To get the eye, use a knife on the head in the starting room.
Can only be done before cutting the flower.



With Roui with a shovel by your side, look at the lock in the bottom right corner to make him open it or use the key that opened the secret compartment and take the body.

After finding the body, the head on the table changes in the basement, take it.
From what i noticed it can rotate three things in general so if you missed it go outside and go back, repeat until you get what you needed.

Connect the parts in the inventory to get the goblin toy.

Place the goblin in the tray.

Use the necklace on the stars.

Enter the room.

Doing this quests adds an item to your inventory in act 2
Additionally, the previously Serban-reputation dependent event at the beginning of second act now depends on doing this quest.

Act 2

Preparing things for act 3
  • You need to go to Junyver before going to the mystic to get the vase.
  • You need to pick an apple near the well.
  • While doing the quest for Fel, read the letter you got and give out only one page.

Act 3

If you did the Goblin quest in act 1
  • While browsing Rasko's wagon after reading the letters the closet will open.
  • Take the amulet and letter.

After either using a boat or asking Femi for help.
  • Open your inventory to find a rotten apple, it reveals a secret message on the letter. Roui will read it, then you can close your inventory.
  • Go to the location you found the letter in. (accessible after talking with Junyver)
  • Place the vase on the altar.
  • Talk with the character.

Use the boat for the 'Stars shine over the lake' route, go right for the 'Moonshiners' route.

Talking from my memory but i think you had to talk to him all the optional stuff too not just what is needed to proceed. Its been a while though i can check later ehen i have some time.

Nevermind, I figured it out. For anyone else wondering, just return to Junyver right after exiting the house, and you can ask her "What is a gridgi?", and she will give you the vase
