what are “Glitterbeard journals”?

,,In March of 2020, Rare lost a beloved crewmate. On this one-year anniversary of his passing, Rare is sharing a moving memorial with the Sea of Thieves community: The Legend of Glitterbeard.”

I think the most important reward is the beautiful story. I really recommend you to read previous journals, because it is worth it!

finding it is not that easy.

First of all, you will need 8 people for this (=2 galys / 4 sloops / 2 brig + 1 sloop..). It is the hardest part. You can ask other crew in the server if they want help you or keep setting sails till two of your friends will be on the same server.

after this you will need to sail to Plunder Valley. On the northwest side of the island there is a tree with bottles on it.

Around the tree you can find 8 spots (sand patches). Each player needs to stand on one of the spots.

Everybody need to equip appointed instrument
hurdy gurdy: north and south
banjo: west and east
accordion: southeast and northwest
drum: northeast and southwest

You will need to wait till 10 pm in game (sunset). You can check what time it is by using the clock in the game. You need to start playing ,,Becalmed” shanty right after 10 pm, and keep playing till the end. You will see if you do it right if the bottles on the tree start light up. After that cave entrance next to the tree opens and you can proceed into the cave. There will be a desk with a book on it, this is the Final Journal.

@Yeti no its after 10pm, exactly when the sun fully sets, and the hurdy gurdy does not have to lead Ive done it 3 times and started with the banjo twice and it worked
