Challenge that is harder than Ironman Legend difficulty on Xcom - write anything, publish it and don't get criticised for it !

i agree with zeonista: a lot of key points in the plot are silly and dont make sense. Another flaw in logic, imo, is why if the aliens are so smart, advanced and powerful, they decided to make "the chosen", which are emotionally impaired (the say and do a lot of stupid things) and unlike most aliens seem to have free will? thats like placing a big target with the legend "weak point: hit to explode" kind of bs.

Also even if the elders are cartoonishly evil aliens, good aliens should also be aware of them and able to help humans to sabotage them. if the bad aliens are so dramatic (human politicians and people behind big corporations are way sneakier), its almost obvious they arent actually trying to hide.

Anyway even if the writting sucks, its still one of my favorite games. gameplay is great.

Given everything else, it was the nudge that was needed. I'm sure a LOT of people were just overlooking the obvious signs that the regime was up to no good. Having it shoved in their face like that tipped the scale. By itself, the footage probably wouldn't have sparked that reaction. But add in a history of people disappearing, authoritarian rule, and open brutality against citizens? Yeah....

It's not exactly surprising that the obvious authoritarian regime and the police state they live in is up to no good.
Heck just imagine your country having faceless soldiers stand besides every spokesperson during messages and seeing millitairy marches done during celebrations.

I love how instantly willing people are to tear some random statesperson apart the moment they see some vaguely disturbing footage that could've been convincingly edited like five years ago in year 202whatever of this superadvanced spacefaring cyberpunk future

Next you're going to tell me that what I see on CNN, YouTube, and Facebook isn't real and the absolute truth.
