++ 1. Fantasy Game
Each TI season, there is a small game in Compendium named “Fantasy Game”. In which, when you place cards of TI players, depends on player's performance during the day, you will get some fantasy points. You can place cards from Group Stage to Grand Final.

After the Grand Final, you can receive some BP levels base on what % top your score is in.
As previous years:
- Score in top 10%: 16 levels BP
- Score in top 25%: 8 levels BP
- Score in top 50%: 4 levels BP
Normally, you will receive the levels few days after the Grand Final, when Valve updates the BP.
It’s not so hard. If you have some amount of cards and placing cards everyday (don’t skip any day), you will be easy in top 10%.

For TI10 Update: You can receive some points to level up your compendium base on what % top your score is in.
At the end of each day:
  • Top 10% score receive 800 points.
  • Top 25% score receive 400 points.
  • Top 50% score receive 200 points.
At the end of TI (after Grand Finals):
  • Top 10% score receive 6000 points.
  • Top 25% score receive 3000 points.
  • Top 50% score receive 1500 points.
++ 2. Player Card and Player Card Pack
There are 2 types of Player Card Pack:
- Standard: Has 5 cards, including 4 standard cards and 1 silver or gold card.
- Premium: Has 5 cards, including 4 silver cards and 1 gold card.
All cards in Player Card Pack are random and can be duplicated.
The higher BP level the more Player Card Pack you can get. Normally, you can only get Premium packs when you reach higher level (for example in BP 2019 Premium pack can be got from level 179).

For TI10 update:
There are 2 types of Player Card Pack:
- Basic pack: At least 1 silver or gold card, the rest are standard cards
- Team pack: Has the name of one of participated team this TI. It's quite similar to Basic pack, still has player cards from another teams, but the best card in pack (gold or silver card) always is player from this team.

Note: You can only open the Player Card Pack when all teams go to Group Stage are decided.

Open a Team pack of PSG.LGD

This year, you can earn Player Card Pack by these ways:
(1) Everyone has free 10 packs. Each day, after winning one match, earn 1 free pack (only 1 per day).
(2) Buy Supporter club (any team):
  • Bronze tier: 1 team pack, 1 basic pack
  • Silver tier: 2 team packs, 6 basic packs (including reward of bronze tier, total 3 team packs, 7 basic packs)
  • Gold tier: 3 team pacsk, 7 basic packs (including reward of bronze and silver tier, total 6 team packs, 14 basic packs)
If buying supporter club of team that didn't qualify for Ti this year, receive all basicpacks
(3) Buy Team pack by money (50% of money goes to that team)
-> The team pack still includes players from other teams, so if you are lack of cards and want to try your luck + support the team, maybe, you can buy the team pack. Honestly I don't think it's quite effectively.

There are 3 types of Player Card:
- Standard card: No bonus stat score
- Silver card: Bonus random 3 stat score (with random % bonus)
- Gold card: Bonus random 5 stat score (with random % bonus)
Those stats are:

++ 3. Recycle Card
Player Cards can be recycled into dust. Details about what cards should be recycled is below.

- Standard card: Can be recycled into 1 dust.
- Silver card: Can be recycled into 2 dust.
- Gold card: Can be recycled into 5 dust.

Use dust to exchange for new Player Card or Player Card Pack.
- 10 dust: Exchange into 1 Standard Player Card Pack.
- 50 dust: Exchange into 1 Premium Player Card Pack.
- 30 dust: Exchange into 1 selected Player Card (random standard/ silver/ gold card).
In my opinion, you should exchange dust into Premium pack. Exchanging into Player card you can choose what player you want but have the chance to receive only standard card.

For TI10 Update:
- 15 dust: Exchange into 1 Basic pack
- 30 dust: Exchange into 1 selected Player Card (random standard/ silver/ gold card).
-> With this year, there is no premium card pack, so I think in case you need a specific player card, 30 dust for 1 selected player card is good.

Note: If a card is placed and roster is locked, you can't recycle that card anymore.

++ 4. Effects
Collecting all cards of 5 players in a team and set this team to be your "favorite team" will give you some effect, such as:
- Teleport effect (full set of silver or gold card will give more beautiful effect).
- Logo team as chat emoticon.
- Team's flag at your effigy.

For TI10 Update:
There is no effect avaiable yet. Will update later.
What card should be kept or recycled?
++ 1. Before the Tournament
- Player who has only duplicated Standard cards: Recycled all, only keep 1 card.
- Player who has both Standard and Silver/ Gold card: Recycle all Standard cards (because for a same player, Silver and Gold card are always better than Standard card).

For player who has multi Silver and/or Gold cards, you need further examination about their bonus stat score to find out which card should be kept and recycled.
- Core players: Prioritize to keep cards with stats such as Kill, GPM, Creep score;
- Support players: First priority is Obs ward planted.
- "Random" stat, don't pick unless there are no cards with better stats: First Blood, Roshan, Tower.

Special note:
- Should keep at least 1 card for each player, even weak team/ player. Should not focus all on only favorite team(s)/ player(s).

- Gold card has more stats than Silver card but NOT EVERY GOLD CARD IS BETTER THAN SILVER CARD. It depends on the type of stat as analyzed above.
For example: Player A is a support, his Gold card has GPM, Kill, Creep score,.... while his Silver card has Obs Ward Planted, Camp stacked,.... Then in this case the Silver card can give more score than Gold card
==> If a player has both Silver and Gold card, don't recycle all Silver card but analyzed their stats as above. Normally, I keep Gold card for the effects and 1-2 Silver cards.

Example:
I have 4 cards of Ramzes, 1 Gold and 3 Silver. Number 2 can be recycled immediately because it's a core player but has 2 support stats (Obs Ward Planted and Camp Stacked). Number 4 also should be recycled because it has Camp Stacked, and the First Blood stat is very random. I keep the Silver card in number 3 because all its 3 stats and %bonus are good. I also keep the Gold card because it stats are quite ok and to take the effects.
++ 2. During the Tournament
If you don't need to keep the effects, you can recycle all cards from eliminated teams. Because those teams no longer play, they will not provide any score.
How to place card effectively
++ 1. Overview of how to place cards
To place the card, enter the BP -> go to Compendium tab -> Fantasy tab.

Each day of Group Stage and Main Event, you can place 5 cards (each player can only be placed with 1 card). In which: 2 core players, 1 offlane player and 2 support players.
Note: Different years may have different position to place the card. For example in 2016 we placed 3 cores and 2 supports; in Kiev Major we placed 2 cores, 1 mid, 2 supports; but from 2017 we placed 2 cores, 1 offlane and 2 supports.
This year the format is 2 Cores - 1 Mid - 2 Supports.

Note:
- You can only place cards for a day before the roster lock of this day. You can see the countdown time to the roster lock of each day right above the tab where you place cards.
- A card can be placed for multi-day.

++ 2. Method to place cards effectively
(1) Clearly know the schedule of a day to choose team
- This is the first and important method. You need to know what team will play on that day and how many games they will play. Always prioritize to place the cards of the players from the teams that play the most games.
Reason: The more games they play, the more score can be provided.

- For Group Stage:
+ Normally, in Group Stage, in a day there are some teams play 3 games and some teams play 2 games. Always choose player cards from teams who play 3 games. Similar to those days that have teams play 2 or 1 games.
Example:
Source: Liquidpedia
This is the schedule of Day 1 of TI9. As you can see, on that day teams from Table A played 3 BO2 (equal to 6 games), while teams from Table B played only 2 BO2 (equal to 4 games) ==> Choose cards from table A team.

+ The last day of Group Stage can has tide-breaks. You should predict what team(s) will play both normal Group Stage and tie-break to place card (Optional).

- For Main Event:
+ The first day of Main Event, Upper Bracket teams will play BO3 (so at least 2 games), while Lower Bracket teams only play BO1 ==> Chose cards from Upper Bracket teams.
+ The rest days of Main Event, most of the teams only play 1 BO3 game, so choose the teams with high winning chance.
+ The last day has Lower Bracket Final and Grand Final. There will be a team play both. If you place cards of this team they can provide many scores; however, in case you predict the team who wins the Lower Bracket Final wrong, you should place 2-3 cards of the team who already made sure in the Grand Final.

(2) Predict the winning teams
After determining/ predicting the teams who play most games as below, predict the winner or better teams to place the card. Normally, the winner or better teams can provide more score than the other teams.
However, if 2 teams are too different in skill level, one team can sure and easily win the other team, you shouldn't place cards of that winning team. Because a short game will provide less score.

(3) Choose the players
- You have many cards but can only place 5 per day so you have to choose. After choosing teams by method (1) and (2), now you have to decide what player. Normally, you should choose the good, impact players, from good teams. For example, there was a day that a Standard card of Miracle- provided more score than a Gold card of a player from a weak team.
Note: This is only approximate.
- Don't choose card of Position 3 (Offlane) and Position 4 (Soft Support) players. Because their obs ward score are low as well as kill, GPM,.... score.
=> For Cores choose card of Pos 1, for Supports choose card of Pos 5.

(4) Choose the card of the player
As analyzing in "What card should be kept or recycled?" section above, the choice of the card depends on the card type and the stats on the card relative to the position the player.
Offlane position may be hard to choose. Depending on the situation each day, choose a player / team card that plays well.

(5) Update the news
Daily news updates to know the situation of the teams, player performance,.... You can choose the cards more accurately.
This site: http://fantasy.prizetrac.kr/home is a good site that update score of each players in previous years and current year.
++ 3. Things that SHOULDN'T do
- Place cards from favorite teams/ players: As above, you should choose the suitable cards for each day to get more score. If you only place cards from your favorite teams/ players, they may provide less score. For example: You place full roster of team OG everyday, however there is a day that team OG doesn't play any game, so you will not get any score for that day.

- Recycle all other cards to try to get cards from favorite teams/ players: As above. You should keep 1 card for each player even they are from the weakest team. So if that team play many games that day or can make further into the tournament, you still have their cards to place. If they are eliminated, you can still recycle their cards later.

- Place cards for all days: You should place cards for days one by one. After a day finishes you continue to place the next day. By that way, you can know which teams go further/ eliminated/ go to lover bracket,.... and calculate how many games they will play.

==> Placed cards can be changed, so if you feel you place wrong cards you can still change them, just do it before the roster lock of that day.
