This is a large map that cavalry thrives in hence getting some cavalry hate will not go wrong.... or would it?


Point C has lots of high ground which enables archers to have the advantage. Archers plays a pivotal role if one would attempt to conquer C.

I personally believe that there is 2 playstyle to fight this map:

• Cavalry superiority, having 2 or 3 cavalry in your team, cripple their cavalries, and win through point capping.
  
• Archer point C control. Get 1 archer, 2 is a bit much, and take control of point C. Fight with your archer and decimate your enemies. There is a cliff between Point B & C which can be a foothold when contesting B.

Strong cavalries that can fight other cavalries are:

• Guan Yu
  
• Zhao Yun
  
• Catherine

Catherine is a strong unit in this map as a cavalry archer. It does well against lancer/pikemans. Guan Yu can destroy formation for others to attack while Zhao Yun has strong cavalry killing capability. Once you crippled the enemy leaving them footed and hurt, you can ensure you have at least 1 cap more than your enemy and your quick mobility allows you to punish hero that attempts to cap another point themselves, picking them off 1 by 1.




When going for Cavalry Superiority, having people that can protect B is important.

• Diao Chan
  
• Caesar
  
• Assassins, Hanzo or Yu Ji, whatever that kills your archer and squishier units for you.

Diao Chan and Caesar is able to protect themselves from rain of arrows as they can shield the top side. This forces the archer to swap target or the warrior units to advance towards point B to force Diao Chan or Caesar out of point.

This is when the assassins comes into play, killing off the archers and rounding up the ground units.


As for going for Archer point C control, you should have an archer, it depends on who you like really?

• Yi Seong-Gye
  
• Liang Hongyu
  
• Zhen Ji
  
• etc.

Zhen Ji has a built in concealment that can protect herself until enemy is attacking point C whereas you give them their birthday surprise, their deaths. Yu Seong-Gye is an overall great archer that can poison enemies and heal ally. It can also switch between range and power.
Liang Hongyu is your burst archer, it also has the ability to fire the ground pressuring the location.

When playing Archer point C control, it would be safe to assume you would have 0-1 cavalry. this would mean that.. if you can't have it, they should not have it too. Get some lancer out there to make sure the cavalry regrets riding into this battlefield!

Having hero that can ensure your archer lives to see another day is also important, Diao Chan, Caesar are an example, Godfrey and Hua Mulan can also do it. They just have to ensure that archers are not burst down. Mulan is pretty weak against cavalries though, play with care.
