Since good old gamevial has closed shop (literally) they stopped updating their games. Some went abandonware, some are somewhat open-source these days. Some are actually hosted elsewhere. Without updates though, the games do not know where the new server is at.

Since this release won't get another update in the foreseeable future, there's one easy way to play online again. Keep in mind there's only a windows version for now. If you're on linux or mac you may have to resort to emulators or virtual systems.

1. Visit https://rw-developement.itch.io and choose your preferred LIF version. There's two of them; classic and deluxe. The latter being almost the same as on steam, the former more like webplayer's variant.

2. Click on "Download Now".

3. A window will pop up asking wether you want to donate or just download the game. Keep in mind you are *not* required to pay, but any amount helps cover our costs.

4. Once you made your choice, you will be presented with a download button for lif-deluxe-win.zip

5. Download the game.

6. Extract both the .exe and the _data folder into the same directory.

7. Start the game. Ignore any warning. Windows defender and some antivirus software tend to declare Unity Games a threat while it's perfectly clean. False positives ain't a reason to worry.
