Breaching Doorways
In most scenarios, doorways are gaurded, and in some of those scenarios, there's terrioists behind cover. The most effective way to go through a doorway is to stack on each side of the doorway. In some cases you'll have 3 or more members of your squad, and in most cases, it'll just be one or two breaching a door. There's several ways to go about breaching a doorway, and timing and gear is important to avoid your team taking casualties. Depending on the type of room you're breaching, you can either just kick the door in, shotgun your way through the door if it's locked, pick the lock, use a breaching hammer, or open it and throw a flashbang in.

Kicking the door requires no gear or gadgets, all you have to do is order one of your guys to go through the door, he'll either open it and stand in the doorway, or go in depending on what you tell him to do. Going in this way is only adviseable if you know what's behind the door, and if the enemy isn't directly facing the door, you can cost your team a lot of health, or getting killed going this way.

Shotgunning the door, requires a shotgun, of course. Although only working on locked doors, and a faster alternative to using a breach hammer, it uses up a good amount of ammo, thus it is adviseable to make your trooper reload after breaching with a shotgun, and sending other breachers in through after the one with the shotgun shoots it down.

Picking the lock is the most stealthy way to get through a locked door, not attracting attention to the door and your troopers, yet it can be very time costly in certain sitiuations, which is not reccomended if you need to get through a door as soon as possible. Doing it this way can catch enemies off gaurd, and thus avoid them executing hostages.

Opening the door with a breach hammer makes a lot of noise, and all of the terroists will face the door you're trying to breach through, so it's good to either throw a flashbang in after, or use it as a distraction so another squad from behind can go through a different door and take them out while they have their backs turned.

Breaching by opening the door and throwing a flashbang in is usually the best way to go, you avoid killing hostages, and it stuns terrioists long enough for your team to go in and shoot them before they have a chance to fight back.

Using the Spy Camera can help you see what's behind a door, to know if there's just a bunch of terrioists and where they're at, or if there's hostages, depending on what there is, you take different approaches, and taking those different approaches can win you the mission, or get you killed if you take the wrong approach. Be careful of making noise behind a door, because a terrioist may run up and open the door while you have someone with a spy camera on the door, and he then becomes an easy target.

Using breaching charges is also helpful, yet can kill hostages, it is only adviseable to use breaching charges to kill and stun enemies behind doors, but they have a time to set them up, and once set to explode, they un-do the quick pause, so be careful for setting them up to blow when you're not ready yet.
Body Armor and it's uses.
There is currently three different kinds of body armor, light, medium, and heavy.

Light is good for moving quickly and having higher mobility, which can help you win a fight or get to hostages faster.

Medium armor is a good in-general armor, not too hard on movement, not too hard on mobility, and can handle a couple shots before you go down.

Heavy armor is slow, but it can take more than a few shots, and usually the best choice for going through rooms crowded with enemies.
Squad movement tactics
There is several ways to move your team through an area, moving back to back, all four of them facing a direction and moving that way, or just charging straight in.

You can change the direction your trooper is facing by holding right click and pointing in a direction, you'll know he'll change direction if there's a green arrow below him that points to where he's going to face, he will remain facing that way untill he is shot at from a different direction, or you order him to face somewhere else. This can be used to have two troopers moving across a hallway back to back, to make sure they don't get taken advantage of from the front or back. This tactic can also be used to have four troopers facing every direction, to avoid getting suprise attacked from anywhere, moving like this to a different location can ensure your troopers don't get flanked or run across a hallway with someone in it, and possibly take a casualty. Charging straight in is almost never adviseable, as your flanks become open, and there's noone to watch your backs, but this can be an effective way to move somewhere fast without spending the time to move carefully, which in some cases can take too much time, and get a hostage killed, or give a suspect more time to find a better place to hide.
"Shotguns and Pistols", or, "How to clear a tight area."
Currently the only one who can carry shotguns is The Breacher, whom can also carry a pistol, like everybody else can too. By default, The Breacher wears heavy armor, but in some cases, it's better for him to wear medium or light. The Breacher can be effective for breaching doorways, as his name suggests, or clearing rooms of enemies without a sweat. His shotgun is deadly in close range, the breacher shotgun being good for taking out doors and close up enemies, while the pump shotgun has a good amount of ammo for going through areas without having to take the time to reload. The joint combat shotgun, fires automaticly, requireing no pumping, which in turn allows for faster firing, but can only hold 5 shells at a time, so reloading is sometimes neccesary, and in a bad sitiuation, reloading your shotgun can cost you dearly.

Using the shotgun to clear tight rooms is possibly the best way to kill enemies, but the shotgun isn't exactly that great for longer ranges, or rooms with hostages in them, you can always make your trooper switch to his pistol, which can be just as good as a shotgun in tight rooms, and can avoid friendly fire and shooting hostages - along with being more accurate at longer ranges, not having to waste shotgun ammo and allowing an enemy with a further range weapon to shoot your trooper because of his disadvantage with a shotgun at longer ranges. Making a trooper switch to his pistol is much faster than reloading, and the pistol can be a much better weapon in certain sitiuations, includeing breaching, and rooms with hostages.
"Rifles and Sheilds", or, "How to have long range dominance."
The Assaulter carries rifles, both automatic and semi-automatic, the semi-automatic ones being better for longer ranges, whilst the automatics being better for closer ranges. The Sheild carries a, of course, sheild, and a pistol or a taser.

Pairing an Assaulter with a Sheild is possibly the best way to attack enemies from longer ranges, using the sheild to distract enemies and become a bullet magnet, while the assaulter fires at enemies firing at the sheild. Using this tactic to move up can be better than just having two assaulters move up together, as a sheild helps draw enemy fire, and in turn, avoids friendly casualties.
Flanking and Lureing.
Flanking is a good way to take advantage of enemies not being able to have eyes in the back of their heads and have superhuman senses.

If an enemy is facing one direction, the best thing to do is to take a path that leads to a direction he isn't facing, avoiding being shot, or dealing with direct combat which can cause injuries or casualties.

Lureing enemies is another good way to avoid direct combat, running into a room then running right out, causing the enemies to run outside of the room, and placing someone with a shotgun or a pistol right outside the doorway to kill them as they pour out looking for the one you used to lure.
Conclusion and Outro
Currently in Alpha 9, theese are the basics, but more will come as the game is updated and eveuntally out for offical release.

Using theese tactics will help in a lot of sitiuations, and avoid getting your troopers killed, which can get you 3 stars for a mission.

nice guide i have seen most this play out but for the most part there should be a stealth class focused part to this but i dont think we will need that with all the counters to all the teenage drinking party loudness that goes with this approach

All around well written guide. I have only one complaint and that is sheild. It´s actually spelled shield. But apart from that it is a good guide.
