Oh and a side note: The author is also wrong about sweeps and grabs. I've legit deflected a diving grab before, and to deal with a SWEEP attack, you JUMP and press jump again when you land on them, to do the same stance damage as deflecting a normal attack does!

@fl4ir I highly suggest you listen to these two. I feel sorry for folks like you that come into a guide like this one expecting to actually get true guidance. This is a joke guide. Want legitimate advice? As these two people said, practice deflecting every attack! (tapping the block button as an attack lands) Just remember that if you can BLOCK an attack, you can DEFLECT it! That being said, you should DEFLECT attacks all you can! It increases the enemy's posture damage. Once their posture/stance breaks, you'll be able to perform a deathblow, which wipes out an entire bar of HP, which outright kills every enemy other than mini bosses or bosses, which all have more than one bar!

@fl4ir you deflect by clicking, not holding click. also, use a controller. deflecting builds up enemy posture so you can preform deathblows. holding down block doesn't do much except save you from damage, which is what deflect also does. (deflect is the better version of block)

@fl4ir It's a matter of situation more than anything. Holding the block can be safe when you need a breather but it is dangerous when you're surrounded. When you're tapping the mouse button, you're doing so to parry, the timing of which you'll have to learn by trial and error; but essentially you want to tap at the very last moment before the sword strikes (Kinda vague ik but you'll get it with time! You'll also come to realize most enemies telegraph their attacks a good while before they actually strike). It never hurts to dodge as well!! ;)

Same here...guess I'm an elitist. Joke guide or not, the fact the author is lashing out at the people trying to help the people who come here looking for actual TIPS...is only serving to make them look more like an imbecile. Oh and...."-jack-"...you should really know what an elitist REALLY is, before you throw that word around at people.
Half-Moon 14.3.2021 klo 14.27
Right so actually knowing how to play the game is "elitism" now. Okay I'm an elitist then.

ROFL Deflect isn't block, block will absorb a small amount of damage, deflect does deflection damage to the enemies stance. Dodge will move you away from potential damage, but given how mobile most fights are, yeah dodge is second. go -jack- off, your meme was crap, your play style even worse.

cant even make a meme without elitists trying to correct it.

No, that's not why dodge first. You parry first, and you only dodge when parry doesn't work you fucking donkey.
