This lists all guns and most missiles in the game. Bombs and weirdness like the Demijohn aren't covered because I haven't found the gory details in the game files yet.

Everything has its cost, damage per second, heat per second and shot speed listed where applicable.

I haven't updated this for the Steam version balance patches. Maybe it'll happen sometime this year idk.

Autotrack Minigun: Misses a lot and barely tickles enemies level 1: 35000Z, 1440 dps, 8 hps, 700 shot speed, level 2: 60000Z, 2182 dps, 9 hps, 720 shot speed, level 3: 100000Z, 3000 dps, 10 hps, 740 shot speed level 4: 140000Z, 3889 dps, 22 hps, 760 shot speed level 5: 180000Z, 5000 dps, 25 hps, 780 shot speed Daisycutter Mk.III: Your basic machine gun that few things will top as far as dps goes for a very long time. Probably not worth the upgrade cost and heat but its about time these things try. level 1: 0Z, 26667 dps, 400 hps, 800 shot speed level 2: 820000Z, 38400 dps, 480 hps, 850 shot speed level 3: 1690000Z, 56000 dps, 600 hps, 900 shot speed F-6E Plasma Gun: Well, I guess they're still trying but that's a lot of money and more heat than I ever thought possible for a gun that isn't even 2 Daisy Cutters welded together. level 1: 850000Z, 2000 dps, 60 hps, no listed shot speed level 2: 1000000Z, 5000 dps, 100 hps level 3: 1200000Z, 13333 dps, 367 hps level 4: 1450000Z, 20000 dps, 467 hps level 5: 1750000Z, 28571 dps, 601 hps level 6: 2100000Z, 51423 dps, 1571 hps M.S.G 5000 missiles: Homing missiles but meaner. Someone else might give 1.6 million for it. level 1: 889000Z, 15152 dps, 127 hps, 1000 shot speed level 2: 1130000Z, 20333 dps, 140 hps, 1100 shot speed level 3: 1360000Z, 26667 dps, 156 hps, 1200 shot speed level 4: 1580000Z, 32083 dps, 175 hps, 1300 shot speed ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 29 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- S.T.Y.X.: Kind of like a VX with a shorter, wider beam, more damage, way less heat and a significantly nicer price tag. level 1: 960000Z, 16346 dps, 77 hps, hitscan, aoe level 2: 1205000Z, 22368 dps, 132 hps level 3: 1450000Z, 38636 dps, 273 hps ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 30 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Beelzebub Mortar: ♥♥♥♥ it, I'm done categorizing every piece of garbage with less DPS than the Daisy Cutter. 30k dps at max level, 200 hps and four irrelevant looking and unquantifiable submunitions released on impact. The submunitions seem to do about half the damage of the main shot. Still can't even dream of being worth the 1.85 million X-Ray Disruptor: 4 streams in an x pattern, dps is for one stream as hitting with more than one seems unlikely. I almost got excited til I found out that the max upgrade costs almost 3 million. On further review the streams come out slightly ahead of your ship, allowing you to hit with 2-4 of them with very careful positioning. The dps for that is thus very high but you're never going to land that in practice. level 1: 780000Z, 28000 dps, 200 hps, 1800 shot speed level 2: 1660000Z, 35000 dps, 300 hps level 3: 2760000Z, 42000 dps, 400 hps ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 32 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kraken 2000 Harpooner: Remember that time we had a good secret weapon? This is not that time. 33333 dps maxed out, no heat. 1.25 million Superkiller knockoff with slower bullets. Banzai Rammer: 1200000 dps for no heat and 2.7 million bux. The catch? It's in the form of a big block that sits in front of your ship and has to smash into things. And it probably doesn't actually tick every 10ms so that dps figure is grossly inflated. Good luck killing a 1m target with this thing. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 33 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kaiser Franz 650: The price tag says it all: 4120000Z. Well, I guess the dps says the rest: 45500. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH I'm so not buying that, Big clunky cannon with nothing going for it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 34 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Omnigun NT-2: This gun is really hard to quantify but it's probably the best secret weapon thus far. Every level shoots 10 piercing black holes that linger for a bit (potentially hitting a couple times) then swirl around in a huge pattern covering a good quarter of the screen. It only generates 20 hps, so you can fit it on any build. The initial version does 600 damage, upgrading goes in steps of 400 up to 1800 at 2450000Z. It fires 2 shots per second at every level and the pattern doesn't change. Vulcan Disintegrator: A rapid fire shotgun, maxing out with 9 shots in a cone 20 degrees to either side. Each shot maxes at 9500 dps, so you can cause some really nasty damage up close. Heat is a little steep at 250 hps but we've seen much worse by now. 3000000Z maxes it out, which hurts a bit but at least it's an actual improvement. The invisible shots make it a pain to see what you're shooting, though
Missions 35-end of first lap
------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 35 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hexagun: Incredibly powerful multihitting giant aoe gun. Well deserving of its infamy. The normal waves do 22000 damage when maxed and the long, fast wave that shows up every other shot at level 3 does 29000. And it only generates about 140 hps. 3240000Z but well worth it. Vortex Generator: A cute gimmick that lets you attack from the right edge of the screen. Maxing it out gives you a second stream of bullets from the left edge. Catch someone in both streams and they're sucking down 143k dps. 500 hps is pretty nasty but you'll live, assuming you didn't just go with Hexaguns. The 4.2m pricetag isn't doing this thing any favors. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 36 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SunTEQ Sunray Bozotron: A powerful spread machine gun. Nasty heat and it splits into 2 streams at max level. Pretty strong up close. level 1: 1800000Z, 30000 dps, 200 hps, 600 shot speed level 2: 2360000Z, 88000 dps, 500 hps, 620 shot speed level 3: 3260000Z, 100000 dps, 600 hps, 630 shot speed level 4: 3400000Z, 186667 dps, 667 hps, 640 shot speed ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 37 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chroniton Riffle: A big brother to the VX. Vicious heat but some of the best dps so far and piercing on top of that. The shots on the sides are pretty weak but they might pick off smaller ships. level 1: 42000000Z, 83333 dps, 417 hps, piercing hitscan level 2: 64000000Z, 91304 dps, 616 hps side shots are 3571 dps each, 500 shot speed and don't pierce level 3: 86000000Z, 131818 dps, 818 hps level 4: 100000000Z, 142857 dps, 1010 hps side shots are 15000 dps and 600 shot speed ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 39 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Terrion Emitter: More like terrible emitter. Very hot and not nearly strong enough to pull off a short range gimmick after the other guns we've been getting lately. With less ridiculous heat and a sensible price tag it might have been useful midgame. Nearly 1/4 of the final dps comes from this wave that radiates out in all directions but barely goes past your circulus. DPS also drops like a rock at the third upgrade due to the side shots going away. STOP THAT ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ALREADY level 1: 2000000Z, 16250 dps, 250 hps, no listed shot speed level 2: 2400000Z, 35357 dps, 319 hps level 3: 3000000Z, 26667 dps, 400 hps level 4: 3600000Z, 89000 dps, 528 hps ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 40 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Punisher: A joke weapon. 50000 dps and no heat but also no range at all. F-8000 Cremator: A monstrously hot flamethrower. The upgraded version is basically the S.T.Y.X. with triple damage and quintuple heat. Too hot to really get much use out of but it pierces enemies so YMMV. level 1: 2100000Z, 88889 dps, 1006 hps, 280 shot speed level 2: 3400000Z, 133333 dps, 1334 hps, 800 shot speed ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 41 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Zion Generator: A pretty basic machine gun. Ridiculously hot, not terribly powerful by recent standards and no defining features other than its raw dps. Max level covers about 3/4 of the screen vertically. Hard to quantify as it doesn't have a shot_delay but its power is undeniable. Each level makes the spinning blades longer and more powerful until they cover a huge amount of the screen. Testing indicates that the highest level generates about 750 hps, indicating 5 shots per second for 140000 dps. level 1: 5000000Z, 24000 damage, 60 heat level 2: 5600000Z, 26000 damage, 100 heat level 3: 6300000Z, 28000 damage, 140 heat ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lap 2 Mission 27 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tesla Devastator: Another machine gun, with big shots and a wave pattern. Hideously expensive, absurdly hot and a long time between shots. Each shot is a continuous beam that does huge damage and multihits like crazy. level 1: 15000000Z, 27500 damage, 5 seconds between shots, 2000 heat level 2: 17500000Z, 35000 damage, 4 seconds between shots, 3000 heat level 3: 20000000Z, 42500 damage, 3 seconds between shots, 4000 heat

Honestly, I love the commentary XD
But for me, once you get Tsunami BETA, you can basically stop looking - the thing is crazy good. Just slap enough Heatsinks and it's almost 0 heat.
Basic Tsunami at max level is also good, but you need to be a good pilot, only lacks in backward damage.

I love how, as a kid... like 15-20 years ago I figured this stuff out all byt myself by simply playing the game and now, after so long, I struggle with mission 2 (cuz I picked the plasma thing).

Autotrack Minigun and Sandman Laser are actually quite useful, additional hits, kills, and money; they'd pay off in the long run.

I love the Plop Fragmentation Gun! I'm not sure if it's just a mood stricken thing, but the thing is a death machine paired with autoguns and flea circus, I don't even have to worry about aiming shots, I just have to worry about dodging :D Cauldron seems to be new, but it's my favorite bomb.
