If a Steam Workshop mod isn't appearing in your game's mod manager, try verifying the integrity of the game's files, clearing Steam's download cache, and resubscribing to the mod. Other solutions include checking your internet connection, disabling background apps that might interfere, manually deleting leftover mod files, and checking that the mod isn't being blocked by your antivirus software.
All I know is that I don't have any issues at my end, and with over 600k subscribers yours is the only report of a crash. For now I assume it's a local issue caused by an unknown modconflict or a coorupt local file. You could verify your local game files to rule that out.
