1 - Basic Controls

Right click to cast. Hold it to cast further.
Left click to reel in.
After casting, right click to catch the fish.

2 - fish?

when your bobber sinks, Right Click to sharply pull the rod and hook the fish.

3 - FISH!

When FISH! comes up on your screen, hold left click to reel in and move your rod to pull the fish in.

4 - progression

You can left click to sell the fish for money, or right click to realease for exp.
at level 1 you can't buy anything, so keep releasing and get to lvl 2 before selling the fish.

To equip new items, go to the inventory (F1) and drag them to the correct slot.

after you catch the fish you can wiggle your mouse to make it dance

@mnmmacd2013, holding down left ctrl will let you use the mouse as a cursor. You just need to aim then hold down the right mouse button. release the button when the power gauge is at the level you want.

my rod won't cast it's just stuck, telling me to hold lft ctrl and use right mouse button

I managed to figure it out before seeing this guide. Stinks there isnt a tutorial. However id like to know how to catch more valuable fish! I seem to be wasting my money on a boat pass, new lures, and such when I cant save enough to move onto the other maps!
