If you wanna attempt a run like this, there are a few rules in place.

While this run may not give you a fresh new look on the game or anything like that, it can at least make you a bit more thankful for the gracious movement options given to us from the devs.

Overall Rules:

Standard Run:
No Dual-Wielding weapons
No Reloading (I know it's hard to keep up with which guns you've already used in a firefight, just try not to use the same weapon twice.)
No Slow-Mo
No Dive
No Crouch
No Kicking
No Grenades, unless you find an M16 w/ a grenade launcher, then one grenade per gun.
Melee Weapons are allowed.
No Workshop Weapons
Jumping only allowed for Rooftop and Tea For Woo, to get over ledges and cross gaps.
Rules do not apply for Tutorial.


Hard Mode: No Health Pickups.
Complete every map in a row without dying.

Extra Spicy: Hard Mode, but you can't use the same kind of gun twice in a level)
(For Example, if you pick up an AK-47 at the start of a level, you can't pick up another one until you get to the next level.)

Easier Mode: Standard Run, but enable Fast Player Cheat, and Big Punch Cheat (like you're wearing the Tony Mask, aka, the best mask in Hotline Miami)

And, finally, Hotline Miami OST playing in the background is optional, but heavily recommended.
