This guide shows you how to get your Oculus Quest 2 Pokerstars account to play on SteamVR. In my case I wanted to be able to use my Quest account also on my Valve Index with better graphics.

Many people have asked if they can combine Oculus account with Steam account?
However that answer is a resounding "NO" game accounts will always be separate.


❤️ Pokerstars VR on Quest 2
Released on Steam and Oculus just over 2 years ago, November 8, 2018



Surprisingly I never had any interest in this Free to Play - Poker Avatar Game
Despite being a VR Steam Curator and owning all Major HMD's

It's was only when I decided to get a Quest 2, then seeing it's store rating. The vary same Poker VR game I've avoided for so long. Well turns out it's a Great Social Game!

I was having good fun with others. The Next thing I know I'm grabbing my Q2 twice-a-day to get my FREE Chips and build up Bank and Stash Items for longer and more enjoyable times!

I got curious since it's a FREE TO PLAY - I went ahead installed on my Steam Account



Wow Factor x10 on Valve Index it looks amazing much different from the flat Quest 2 version
✔️ I can run it 90Hz - 120Hz - 144Hz
✔️ Has individual finger tracking on Index Controllers
✔️ Easier to add in OBS for Streaming or Recording
✖️ No Avatar Customization
✖️ No Payment Window Pop-up if you declined prior
My dilemma was disheartening 💔
Not unlike many other Quest 2 users. I too had already built up a good sized bank and made in-app purchase transactions to get some Packs.

I'd have to start over on Valve Index to build up another bank
Ok i do admit that would be time consuming, yet still doable. However it's Window Pop-up Payment to buy doesn't pop-up for me anymore. I found it pointless to continue to build any bank for my SteamVR account with in-app purchases broken for me.

How could get my Quest 2 account to work on Steam?
I thought of REVIVE? I have that already installed!
But I know that only works for Oculus Rift or Rift S store games. Not The Quest❗

REVIVE to the Rescue
  • On my Oculus account - I installed the Rift S - FREE TO PLAY - Pokerstars VR
    NOTE - I had never installed or played on the Rift S before (no avatar or bank balance)


  • Then I made sure Pokerstars VR was showing in my Revive Dashboard
    NOTE - I prefer to launch Revive inside of my SteamVR headset



It Worked ❤️


I'm seeing my Quest 2 Bank and Stash Items, Woohoo❗
✔️ Rift S version looks as good as Valve Index
✔️ Avatar Customization Works
✔️ Spending and Collecting Creds Works
✔️ Spin for Chips works, etc, etc
✖️ No Payment Window Pop-up, keep using Quest 2 for all in-app Purchases❗

For myself I'll still grab the Quest 2 and go collect those every 8 hour Chip Spins
Yet play in Revive to enjoy Rift S Graphics with Quest 2 account in a comfy Valve Index 😍

You can run Both versions with full graphics quality on the Quest-2 also (have to unplug your wired headset first)... I have a good speed router and saw that I could get Virtual Desktop (from the Oculus store... not from Steam store) which allows you to run your Steam Apps (including Revive) Wirelessly from your main VR-PC to the Quest-2 headset.... So I followed the directions on the tons of youtube vids that showed how to do it, and it 100% works. I can run ALL my Steam VR (and any app or games from my PC) with just as high quality on the Quest-2... And now they're saying the Quest-2 might even be updating from 90hz up to 120hz in an upcoming update.
