When I saw the game screen at the beginning, I was deeply attracted by such a cartoon style. Compared to Telltale Game's comic style pictures, the pictures of Life is Strange are more beautiful, and the bright and warm colors are more attractive. Whether it's a campus, a town or the outskirts, the soft and warm light feel every day seems to be a filter deliberately added by the production team. When the storm hits, the rain washes the oil painting-like scenery immediately, you can clearly see that the water droplets wet everything around, and the cold and chill are also blown directly into the players' hearts through the screen.

I like the game’s depiction of the wind the most. The dashed line and the solid line combine to deepen the gray level, so that the trajectory of the wind is presented in front of my eyes. If the wind in reality can see the trajectory in this way, it should be as beautiful as in the game.

In addition, in interactive movie games like this, the characters are naturally a highlight in the game. Although the character settings in games like Max, Victoria, Nathan, and Warren are ordinary, their image is as fresh as the classmates you have been with, and there is no obstacle to the substitution of roles.

Music is another factor that attracts me to games. From the fresh guitar solo that looks like Fengyin when you enter the start menu, to the solo episodes interspersed with each chapter, all reflect the intention of the game. Every time Max puts on headphones, walks through campus, or looks at street scenes along the way on the bus, it seems that it is not only Max that is wrapped in music, but also you, immerse yourself in your own world with headphones to watch the flow of people around you .


Just like the American drama, the setting and arrangement of music often make people feel nervous and rhythm with the plot. "To All Of You" makes you feel integrated into this small town in Oregon, USA, into the protagonist, an American girl. "The Sense Of Me" is stimulating my tear glands step by step on the melody. In reality, when we encounter irreparable accidents, why don't we want to take back the words that caused the disaster. However, we don’t have any chance to recreate the water spilled out.

The protagonist Max has too many actions and thoughts that resonate with the player, and her ability to reverse time may be the biggest difference between her and us. You can use reversal time to prevent accidents from happening, and you can be a man of justice; you can also be naughty, as long as you look back in time, no one can catch you.

But is it really good to look back in time? In order to achieve the goal, go back to talk, say something that others like to hear through backtracking, predict the future and change it through backtracking... This is also one of the topics that the game wants to discuss with players. As the plot develops, you will know .   

The development of the plot is the clever use of backtracking to explore the truth of a secret, step by step, to understand what story happened to each character. Max is the protagonist of the game, a childish girl with freckles, a typical representative of nerds. She is always at odds with her surroundings, which also makes her bullied by other people. She loves life and uses her camera to record the world she sees from different angles.


Chloe uses her coolness to cover up her inner wounds, and her emotional and righteous help has won her a large number of players. Who can say that her actions are not the most true and comfortable performance?


Victoria is the kind of ♥♥♥♥♥ who looks like a white lotus. Under the strong disguise, she lacks self-confidence in her heart. She bullied everyone around her with her arrogance. In her eyes, the world should revolve around her.


Kate is a representative of the Mori girl, a gloomy girl who is always easily surrounded by sadness. The contemplation on his face is like a quiet lake, and a drop of water can cause unexpected waves.


Warren is a little shiny boy around everyone, a cheerful and funny big boy, and a good student who loves to learn. . He is very brave to explore what he likes, without fear, and at the same time seems a bit clumsy in pursuing girls.

Perfect things do not exist in the world.


In life, why don’t we imagine what will happen if we make a different choice, maybe we hear a different answer, maybe we change the development of the situation, maybe we miss it and we no longer have it. But you can't change the established fact in any way, it is waiting for you to uncover it quietly.

Many people chose to sacrifice Chloe to save the town in the end. As one of them, I want to say that at that moment, I was persuaded by Chloe. I was persuaded by my good friend to give up saving her. This is one of the reasons why I feel so sad. After experiencing the previous series of rescue and help to Chloe, at the last moment, I realized that Chloe’s death is a fate that is inevitable. I finally chose to surrender to fate. Seeing Chloe who fell in a pool of blood and finally returned to the original starting point of all events, Max could only silently bury the pain in his heart, just like the player who was crying in front of the screen at that moment.

Just as the other Max said to himself in the chaos, influence the conversation of others to please others, change the occurrence of the event so that it develops in the direction you want, so as to interact with others, you are really selfish! Yes, think back to all these stories carefully, no matter what purpose Max is for, her choice is ultimately self-serving, making others happy or sad, letting others hurt or getting caught, and letting others live or die. , These are the choices made by players indirectly for others.

It is worth noting that whether it is the sacrifice of Chloe or the sacrifice of the small town, Max's world is ultimately peaceful. Perhaps all this is a peace that the production team wants to return to Max and Chloe, but whether it is the ending of the previous retrospective or the ending chosen by the player, none of the endings is what Max wants. Max was given the ability innocently, and she had no choice but to withstand the harm caused by her ability. She was also one of the victims of the incident.


I think the production team ultimately wants to tell the players that not all choices are reversible. The first four chapters have allowed players enough to feel the surprise and difference brought about by the reversal, and in the end, the production team withdrew this right. Just like the established facts mentioned earlier, you can't make any changes to the truth of the facts. The outcome is destined to happen.

We cannot stop the coming of fate, but this does not mean that we should give up resistance and find hope.

After the game ended, I fell on the bed and didn't think much about the meaning of the ending. Maybe it's just being too involved, deeply stuck in Max's role, unable to extricate himself, deeply entangled in the final two options. The final dilemma is similar to the dilemma mentioned in many animation movies and novels.

The sincere and precious friendship bond between Max and Chloe is the most beautiful memory in the game that people can't give up. The series of memories of friendship scenes in the final chapter are also memories of players in the game. In the end, I decided not to regret the decision I made for each character in the game, and deliberately let this game leave a flawed beauty in my heart and become a work that impressed me deeply.

100% . Playing LiS in succession after BtS made for a crazy ride. No other game has had the same emotional effect. It's one of those games where you just have to let yourself be absorbed into the story and really sink into the shoes of the protagonist
