  • Back Scatter Ammo Loaded: 4 Ammo Carried: 32 Damage Range: Base: 60 Crit: 180

Best ones to use!
Personally I use the stock scatter gun! It has the most ammo loaded and it does great damage and close range, It's used by almost every decent-pro scout main. It can quickly dispose of enemies even Heavies with high HP or rocket jumping Soldiers if its in the hands of a good scout main!

Honest mentions
The Force-A-Nature can be used really well in some scenarios, you could shoot the Force-A-Nature at the ground while you are in the air to jump even higher, something like a triple jump. Shooting an enemy at close range with the Force-A-Nature sends them flying miles away, it can be used to shoot enemies off cliffs or high places in order to kill them faster or do a lot of damage.

Regarding the other primary weapons for the scout don't use them unless you are trying to have fun, they aren't good in many scenarios regarding competitive play. This doesn't mean they cant be used well.
Weapons Secondary
The only secondary you should use!

I would go for the stock pistol, it's used really well when finishing of low hp enemies after you've damaged them with your primary weapon.

  • Stock Pistol Ammo Loaded: 12 Ammo Carried: 36 Base: 15 Crit: 45

Keep in mind, when you advance as a scout main you should practice with other secondaries such as Mad Milk or Crit-A-Cola, they are also really good secondaries but for beginners the stock pistol is the best and its more used in competitive play so it would be of help to the beginner.
Play Style
Play Style

The scout has a lot of play styles! common ones are flank (the style i play as)
playing a scout as flank scout you need to pick your positions carefully, if you see a heavy running towards your team you should find a way to go around back and flank him from behind and attack him! hitting him from the back would catch the enemy by surprise and if your aim is good you could secure and easy kill even if the enemy heavy has full HP

flanking a Sniper is also really important do not charge him head on, he would have a clear shot of you! try and moving left and right a lot to make him miss his shots, try to take a right or a left turn flank him from behind and attack him from the back or sides. With two shots of the Scattergun you would be able to kill him.

flanking other classes are also very important always try to kill from behind and catch enemies by surprise.

by playing Scout you should also try and finish off low HP enemies such as medics running away, spies running away while having low HP, with one or two shots you would be able to finish them off, therefore securing and easy kill and helping out your teammates.
The Scout himself
On this section you will learn about the scout

The Scout is a great class for quick "hit-and-run" tactics that can either sap away enemies' health or kill them outright due to his ability to get in, do damage, and dash away before even being noticed. However, the Scout is tied with the Engineer, Sniper, and Spy for having the lowest health of any class, leaving him vulnerable when he is on the front line; a fair trade-off for his ability to run in and out of a contested hot-spot very quickly, letting him lead the team to victory without the other team even noticing in time.
