Have you ever been annoyed that solid red states such as Oklahoma almost always are competitive. This guide will help you fix it.

There is actually a very simple way to make solid states much harder to win as the opposing party. To do this, you are going to want to go into your files folder. This is located at "This PC: Local Disk (C:) : Program Files (x86) : Steam: steamapps: common: The Political Machine 2020. Once you are at this page, select the folder that says " The Political Machine 2020_Data". Next, select the "Data" folder. Now select the "English" folder. Next, select the "Maps" folder. Finally, select the "USA" folder.

Now that you are at the USA folder, each state should have two files, and XML file and META file. Do not touch the META file!! Go into the XML file of the state you want. Scroll down until you find a section that says: " <PartyData Count="3"> ". Under this, there should be 3 party IDs, Left, Right, Independent. Simply set the number for the party you want. If it is a solid red state, set the "right" number higher. If it is a solid blue state, set the "left" number higher. Just make sure all 3 numbers add up to 100. Personally, I would set that party's number to around 70 for a real challenge. Simply just start the game when you are done, and don't forget to save it.
