Totally useless, this boss is just fucking OP and unkillable now... Immune to ALL CC and massive reiforcements whit healers... Just fucking absurd and unfair... What the problem with you Devs? What the point of frustrating new players with this non sense patch? Shame on you...

@electrocatalysis that bit is not for the fourth floor, but for the second: the statue faces west, basically showing its back to the taven-drinking patrons.

this boss is much much harder now, since you can't interrupt that super one-shot attack anymore, so he's worthy of his secret boss stature

Isn't that phrase about the second floor statue? Imo, means: 'it doesn't want to look at people who spend their gold in the tavern'

Could anyone explain how the statue on the 4th floor "shuns the mortals who burn their gold away"? Or I'm wrong with the description from the book? Ok, I could understand why 6th floor statue looks to the opposite direction, but who's the mortals? why do they burn their gold away? and what does "shun" actually mean??? Everything else is quite understandable but not this one

The only thing he's not immune to now is immobile (Thief caltrops/sneaky strike or Elf longshot), which you can use to your advantage to lure him away from the reinforcements and more towards the back corner. Have Wizardess/Elf stun/freeze/immobile the skeleton mage while everyone else piles on him. If your courage is 25 or above you'll get your turn before him and his reinforcements, so you can pick and choose when to delay turn to get Golbargh in a better position.

I had him dead on round 10 with moves to spare while only killing the first skeleton mage and stunning the second reinforcement group of 2 soldiers/1 archer once. As long as he's far enough away from the third reinforcement's skeleton mage you can ignore it for a good 2 turns, otherwise have someone delay it like the first one.

He'll 1 turn delay AoE on Round 1 and 6, so plan to move out of it and behind cover.
The reinforcements seem to be infinite but only join when 12~ or less are in play.

The guide is no longer valid. Golbargh is now immune to ALL effects - couldn't push, stun, poison, burn or freeze him with my level 10 party. you will need to plan for a long battle and focus removing on the skeleton mage who can heal the Golbargh.

Worth noting that they appear to have patched the Golbargh to be immune to push. Nice to discover while playing on ironman.
