how do you climb in hob?

I have free 6 out 7 of the lil dudes and the way points have stopped and idk what to do. I can see an area with a sword piece but cant figure out how to get down there.

wow, this game is in desperate need of some clear objectives. I'm stuck at the part where my big friend has collapsed and I have no idea what the game wants me to do, other than wander the illegible map endlessly.. It's pretty though.
