Economy
Following this diagram, you would want to start with an economy focusing with where you plan on starting. For example, I start at science, I'll sell to Power, after power to mining. Additionally, each solar system has an economy with each being rated 1-3 stars. Three star is the best possible economy with better pricing when buying and selling. Ex) an economy with 80% buy would buy a product for 80% more than the usual pricing. Likewise a product with a selling of -20% would imply that you'd pay 20% less than you would usually for that product.
Trading

Use your outpost scanner while outside of your preferred solar system, and buy all of the products there, more specifically the components which have a white background. Then fly to the next solar system that you can sell those items to, and watch your money go up gradually. The more you do this, the more income you will receive. Watching my video will give you a better idea, as its visual.

Thank you for the diagram! I always forget which order the economy types go in

Yeah, all of the methods combined are the most efficient XD but this is just one of many.

you can take a dozen quests, and complete them at the end of the trading runs.
i forgot to write the key thing, dont do quests individually. :)

@Richard Because it's about the efficiency. With this method, the longer that you do it, the more gain you get. Sure you could do what you said, but that's units earned over time in a smaller amount, and even then to earn a large amount of money you need to go to each individual planet and scan, go to each quest provider and go to their location and complete that quest, etc etc

i dont get why noone mentions to take quests. Scanning minerals, Scanning animals, killing animals, killing sentinels, taking photos. Ez reputation farming, also some nanites and some units.
You can take the suit upgrades as well in each system, which helps a lot

Fair point, still if you can find gases, superconductors are easy to craft with just gases, oxygen to make your condensed carbon, then sulphurine, radon, and nitrogen to craft the rest. easy 1.5 million units per.

@TitanPhallus This is more early game, whereas the method you are talking about is late. That's why lol

why not just set up a couple small farms and craft quantum processors. Set up your gas first, oxygen, sulphurine, nitrogen, and radon. After that get cactus, star bulbs, solanium, and frost crystals, you get 4.4 million per each. I can make a decent 20 or more a day, granted I also build a ton of fusion ignitors and stasis devices, but i have a good setup. you dont have to do much, just have portals to your gas deposits, check them once a day. A lot more passive than system jumping looking for good prices, even if I get a negative buy number, its still all profit. https://i.imgur.com/svQEvRe.jpg Notice I'm almost at the 4.4 billion cap, and i have roughly 6.2 billion just in this one storage unit.
