The Sewer Realm is an extensive sewage system running throughout all of Petrichor V. The schematics for the Sewer were designed by Captain, though the actual structure was built by Engineer. This all happened before the events of the first game, and following the defeat of Providence, Mercenary found himself stuck in the Sewer Realm. Fighting to survive, he was forced to eat Acrid's family, leading directly to their infamous rivalry that has plagued the second game. Many characters are connected to, or have been directly affected by the Sewer, leading some to consider it the central location of the entire series.

Getting to the Sewer Realm is an extremely complicated process, and the main focus of today's guide. I would not recommend you do this on Monsoon, unless your going for the related achievement. The Sewer is likely the most difficult location in the game, owing to the Rat enemies being very common. The only reason why you might want to go to the Sewer on a Monsoon run is to cheese the very common Bustling Fungus as Engineer, but even then it's a risky game. Anyway, enough rambling, I'm sure you're all very curious as to how to get to the Sewer Realm.

The Sewer Realm MUST be accessed from Abyssal Depths. If you get Siren's Call, you'll have to wait for the next loop or restart. I recommend just choosing your stage at the Bazaar Between Time. You will need to purchase the legendary chest found on Abyssal Depths and then go to one of the many platforms near the top of the map. (Loader is recommended, though any character with high mobility can make it.) Next, you will need to jump four times, then jump off the edge. Repeat this process four times. Lastly, use your M2 ability four times in a row. If you have completed all steps properly before the clock hits the 14:00 mark, your character will do a special animation. Each animation is unique to the character (IE: Acrid will start shaking his head, Mercenary will twirl his sword around.) The Sewer portal will manifest at least 10m away from the player, it is marked by it's dark green color. Entering the portal will send you to the Sewer Realm, where you will be able to fight unique enemies and get special Sewer Items.

In conclusion: The Sewer is an extremely interesting place, though is risky for new players, or on a Monsoon run. But due to the deep lore, special items, and special enemies, as well as related achievements, it's recommended for any ROR2 player to take a visit to the Sewer at least once.
