Introduction
Hey Folks,
just read another guide on combining stuff (which will get the same job done in a beautiful way)
- but without the option of upscaling as you progress.
So i quickly made a few screenshots to adress this particular matter;)
HowTo
So here are the basic blueprints i use.
As you can see you can expand these basic but compact manifolds to infinity to the top to scale up your production with easy copy-paste via blueprints - just copy one or more stages and add them above.

The only thing holding you back is your current maximum troughput of your belts = max. production of a single stage/manifold - but this can be adressed with more than one production-site.
(Keep in mind: building doesnt cost anything - no resources no energy. Think BIG!)
So upgrading your belts still should be prio one! ;)

In detail:
  • Step1: Select one or more stages of the manifold

  • Step2: place your selection above

  • Step3: Done. you easily scaled up your production :)

Example: Level 15
Small example how to use these manifolds for an easy item (Level15) since no cutting is requiered.
(But cutting and rotating manifolds can be implement the same way for easy upscaling as well)
Closer description in the image.

Unlocked double Painting?...
...then this might be another blueprint for you.

I just bought the game on the sales and started it on Steam Deck. It automatically loaded a community controller layout, so I didn't quite get that there are variations of the buildings... not until I got an achievement for inefficiency, because i reached level 13 without ever using a reverse (CCW) rotator. Now I find out that there are variations of the distributor and rotator and painter. I've been painting in very awkward ways, because not always the paint would come from the side I wanted it to come for a specific factory! Just having learned all of this, this guide makes it so much easier to plan ahead and ramp up production! Thanks a lot!!!

Ok... Great minds clearly think alike... Part for part identical to my merging layouts... Different to my painting though. Thank you for this excellent guide and reassurance that I've got at least one design 'right'

Some of these can be compacted with the new splitter.

fk yeah, thank you so much! this system is also really easy to apply to other things like cutting and rotating etc etc.

yo i love this, its so similar to my system but yours is also very easily translated from function to function and its really helpful for condensing things for complex shapes and makes it easy to find individual steps!! <3

This guide is great <3

@TalmondtheLost making white you just add a second row, and pipe the output of the first one into one of the inputs for the second one. Your 3rd remaining color goes in the other input. Depending on your overall layout you could even run them as a cross current, so for example the red/blue mixing can flow to the right then mixing the resulting purple with fresh green can flow to the left.

if you, for the combining shapes, simply place it so that the input splitter thing is one space above the stacker, you can pipe resources through.

maybe add a blueprint for making white?

Maybe add a another belt for double painting. It techincaly paints at 1.5 instead of 1. I found I can get a little bit of more speed out of it if I keep both sides loaded.
