If it is that bad, couple things to try. Update all drivers, Nvidia's weird app can help. If you have image scaling on though control panel, turn it off, it basically muddies a ton of the graphics. I usually turn Vsync on through control panel, but never through the game. I also have triple buffering, threaded optimization and texture filtering trilinear optimization all on.
Really I can get you all my game settings, but the rest shouldn't mess with many of the graphics too heavily.
It does work technically, but in practice, it is pretty hard to see any changes.
I usually force on SGSSAA through Nvidia control panel. Antialiasing Transparency setting.
FXAA kind of helps.
With MFAA on, some menu icons look a little weird but it does slightly help in game.
You will also need to change the Antialiasing mode to "Override any application settings" in the Nvidia control panel, otherwise I have noticed it doesn't change anything.
ReShade can add SMAA as well as other AA methods, and you can change these settings in the ReShade menu.
If you are using the preset I use, you will need to download ReShade itself and you can play around with settings there (link in presets section).
Antialiasing settings are fairly game specific, so just because other games work best with certain settings doesn't mean this game will work best with those same settings.
This all being said, these are my settings with things I have noticed, I easily could have missed something.
I have read that some users have fixed this issue by changing how they swap weapons from the scroll wheel to a different button. Most people seem to use extra buttons on their mouse.
This doesn't seem to be working for everyone though, so it isn't a definite fix for everyone.
This fix did NOT work for me when I tried it.
Makes some more sense actually. All I have been able to find so far is forums talking about reinstalling the game, but I can only find evidence of this working on the xbox version of the game.
The only other "work around" I found was to make it to a command post, select a different character and go back to Han Solo, but I'm pretty sure that is another console only fix. I can't replicate the glitch on the PS2, and PC won't let me swap characters when I am playing as a hero.
I did also hear that the gunslinger perk specifically causes this issue, but it just seems like bug even with a new profile.
Probably would have to be the mod author to update the Han Solo blaster issue. I think it is an issue with the Remaster Installer if I remember right. I think it was fixed a little bit ago, but it keeps breaking every few updates, and probably will be patched out in a later update.
I didn't realize the ship auto-turret issue with time bombs though, so I will add that to my notes.
