A Quick Note
Hey everyone! This is a simple guide on how to fix the rather polarizing world scale issue for this game. The goal is to make the world and characters more life-sized. I wanted to make a quick note first, but if you just want to jump straight into it, you can skip this.

I was a little on the fence about posting this because I know the developers have said that they made the scale huge on purpose for various reasons, and I kinda felt like changing it would be like barging into their house to rearrange the furniture just because I don’t like it. However, stylization or a "larger-than-life" feeling is one thing, but the other arguments they made just don't really make sense. And being surrounded by titan sized anime characters is just a little bit distracting.

I wouldn't let it stop me from playing this, but for a lot of people, it's a big deterrent. And to me, more than anything, it’s sad to hear that people would miss out on an interesting game because of an easily fixable issue. So, ultimately, I decided I’d share this fix. That, and it's a good trick for VR users to know about in general.
How the Fix Works, Benefits, and Drawbacks
How the Fix Works
Basically, the cause of the issue is that the IPD for the game is set really narrow, making everything seem huge. This is an issue with a lot of early VR games, and while it’s not something you can easily fix within the game, you can fix it by basically shrinking everything in SteamVR instead. (And yes, this will work on any game that is too large/small!)

Benefits
The fix will shrink the environment and character models, but text and still image popups will remain the same size, so it does not affect playability. By and large, it's a huge improvement.

Drawbacks
The main drawback is that when characters come close to you (hugs, threats, etc.), it’ll strain your eyes a bit to look at them, and they may appear a little blurry. (I mean, if someone was that close to you in real life, it’d be hard to look at them without straining your eyes anyway so.) They may also appear a bit smaller than they do normally in these scenes.

Your hand pointer will probably also feel like it's not quite "in your hand", and you won’t visually move as much as you do physically. It’s a visual novel though, so this shouldn't be too much of an issue.

Finally, since the fix affects everything in SteamVR, you will have to change this back to play other games if you want them to look normal. It's not hard, but it's not particularly convenient.
Applying the Fix
Step 1:
With SteamVR closed, open up “steamvr.vrsettings” from your Steam installation’s config folder. (For me, the path is “C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\config\steamvr.vrsettings”)

Step 2:
Under “steamvr”, add in the following line:

"ipdOffset" : 0.000,

This will offset the IPD to whatever value you put there, in meters. So “0.050” would be an offset of fifty millimeters.

Step 3:
Set the value to what you want. When you open SteamVR, everything should look tiny. You will have to close SteamVR, change the value, and open again for changes to take effect.

Suggested values:
0.000 – Default value. Set here when not playing this game.
0.040-0.060 – Mostly normalized. Larger than life, but not as startlingly so. Go for this range to minimize the drawbacks listed above.
0.080-0.100 – About normal scale. Go for this range to get the most lifelike scale.

You may have to play around a bit to find the scale that works for you. Remember that you can also adjust your character's height in the game's settings.

Can you add this to one of the per-app sections to have it only apply to this game?
