Beskrivelse
Heavy duty recoverable launch vehicle. Primary stage launches second stage and up to 40t payload to 100km orbital-insertion and detaches before apoapsis at 70km to allow second stage to circularise, or boost directly to up to 250km orbit before circularisation. First stage returns to splash-down landing using engines to slow final descent. Second stage can also return to Kerbin for splashdown, but must do so from 80k apoapsis or less.

Built and used this to launch the components of my assemble-in-orbit missions to other planets, and where necessary used the Salient OSV to top up fuel tanks where the weight limit required they be launched empty.

Dependable launcher and a cheaper alternative to the Citadel.
