My attempt at fixing the mounting issues GMod has with Team Fortress 2.
You should disable/unsubscribe from any other TF2 mounting fixes before subscribing to this.

This dynamically replaces the conflicting textures when you load a Team Fortress 2 map, meaning you won't have to deal with disabling the addon on HL2 maps and re-enabling it on TF2 maps.
It also includes fixes for the particle mounting, a small fix for maps that used voice lines from before TF2 changed them to .mp3 files, and a fix for the TF2 shotgun using the textures if the HL2 shotgun.

Note: If you're on a TF2 map and the texture fix doesn't automatically apply for some reason, use the console command "tf_applyfixup" This can also be used on non-TF2 maps, though it isn't recommended

i created an script that would fix all of the map sound scripts for TF2 maps, such as the train and its bell from well, the saw blades from sawmill and other sounds from nucleus, degrootkeep, doomsday etc...willing to hand that to you so it can be packed into this addon for convenience rather than making my own mod

Do you have any other TF2 fixing addons installed by any chance? Those could be causing issues.

for some reason it seems to be applying the fix automatically on maps like gm_flatgrass and such, which makes the hl2 shotgun use the wrong texture

I can definitely look into it at the very least, I wasn't aware that was even a thing.
Though no guarantees I'll be able to fix it.

do you think you could extend this to other mountable games? like the portal concrete texture being overwritten by hl2:ep2's

Should be fixed now, looks like it was trying to add a nonexistent particle.

It seems that one map in particular, Pandemonium , is causing issues:
